Shueisha announced that they will be launching a “Jump Live” app for Android and IOS devices. The app is expected to launch in August this year. The app will feature exclusive content from Mangaka as well as first glances at new Manga. The app will cost about 250 yen or R25. Shueisha also announced that the app will be updated at the end of every month. We are yet to know weather a monthly subscription will be required or a once off payment.
We already know that Kiruko would appear somewhere because of the message in the final of the series. I remember that Kiruko had a great audience in the internet at the beggining that didn't reflect in the magazine. I guess the editors resolved to bet in this public.
I guess it did have somewhat of an online presence. Originally I would have told you that online fanbases are of no importance to Jump, but seeing as this is a whole new project there is very little precedent as to what Jump wants to do with this. That being said I'd rather the author bring in a new series, I honestly couldn't stand Kiruko, but that's neither here nor there.
if they interested in online geek, then they should probably revive medaka box to, or a spin of with kumagawa
I hope Medaka Box come back ♥
Btw, I'm new here. Hi you all.
Will anyone be scanning and Tranlating the new manga on Jump Live?
Scaning will be difficult for digital magazine lol and only read on phone.
I guess we have to wait for physical volumes to come out then.
there is nothing easier than "scanning" picture from an iphone or other mobil devices. you can already take screen picture with them. if there aren't any function to forbid the use of screen pictures, then you get the whole thing in the best quality. you just need to replace the text.
Resolution from mobile device screen grabs would be horrible.
You can't just take screenshots of online manga, even from a PC
The reader needs to be cracked, and images dl'ed. Screenshots will either be too small, too low res, or incomplete. It's just not possible.
