Hello fellow Naruto fans. I've seen a lot of members discussing which summoning animal is the strongest. Since I could not find a thread about this particular subject,So I thought that I'd make one where you can share your reasoning and personal opinions.

Pain three headed dog... It can't be killed, unless by Amaterasu.
the hawk is hands down the best summon, the asspull-no-jutsu
Seeing as this is only about Frogs/Slugs/Snakes I'd have to say the snakes take it without much contest. Simply because Kabuto created Manda II.
We all know how powerful even regular Manda was... and according to Kabuto Manda II is not only significantly larger, but also better in pretty much every other way. It even has arms.
So, as far as I'm concerned, its the by far most powerful summon from the categories available in this topic. Some time ago I've even made a not too serious Arena Thread about Manda II attacking Mount Myōboku on its own
Jiraiya's hermit mode. (Summoning the two great frogs)
That's no doubt the best kuchiyose no jutsu evah.
Yeah I was only thinking about the Slug/snake/frog summons, but since people didn't quite get the that it was only about Slug/Snake/Frog summons I had to change the topic
P.S I know atleast you understood LnDRash, cudos for that!
I go with snakes (though I take Manda 2 out of the list because he's a modified snake, not a normal one).
Like the list I made in the discussion thread says, all 3 of the sannin summons have their own strengths and weaknesses. Snake>Toad>Slug>Snake
Snakes are naturally stronger, faster, and bigger than toads and have senjutsu and techniques of their own. Are also excellent sensors.
Toads are the most versatile because they have hands for jutsu and weapons. They also have senjutsu
Slugs are the most damage resistant, can heal the summoner, can multiply, and can spit acid.
So yeah. I go with snakes.
I forgot about Manda 2, so if I'm going to pick one summon it would be Manda 2.
As a group, I'll go with the frogs, versatility is the main factor for me.
Well, it did go down and disappear after it was hit with Amaterasu. But if it could take beatings then I don't think even Amaterasu would be enough to kill it. Could snakes shed its skin to escape Amaterasu? If so, then that alone puts them above frogs and possibly slugs.
i do believe that even after nagatos summons are killed he can revive them they are covered in chaakra rods right?
for all we know those summons are corpses as well like the paths of pain
