I think Gildartz will decide Natsu is strong enough to withstand his magic and the risk of killing him on accident is much lower. From there he will decide to train him. I am also curious if Natsu will retain the Atlas flames like he did Laxus' lightning. Afterall that is the only 2 instances he has eaten actual dragon magic and 1 of them he has kept. It also falls in line with how Dragon Slayers gain power by defeating dragons.

okay then... where the heck is Igneel?
F@#$ you Charle. Seriously did I call that shit or what? Seeing into the future has never been so lame. Pretty much all of those dragon fights were skipped over....also don't really know what happens to Rogue, but unfortunately Frosch dying is the catalyst it seems. And seriously Rogue and Sting, it took THIS ass whooping to realize you both suck? Not the one Natsu gave to you? I can't believe these clowns seriously thought they could take Acnologia. I hope Future Lucy at least stays dead. I'm sure she's dead actually. If she isn't, then everything else that happened to anyone or anything as a result of Future Rogue's interference should've been undone also. As for the ending of the arc, well.....let's just say I decided a long time ago I really didn't like the Games arc anyway.

Oh yeah Igneel said he was supposed to show up.....well I'd rather not have his first true appearance wasted on this arc anyway.

Alright, this is not as bad as a thought.
I actually get what was the point of all this.
Basically, they are NOT ready to fight dragons.
And that was the whole point of this arc.
To have them fight dragons, and fail.
It's basically a prelude to what is going to happen in the future, when they will really have to fight dragons (or at least one, Acnologia).
this page. I wonder how exactly will the next fight occur, I doubt it'd just be Acnologia as the sole dragon versus the Dragonslayers, otherwise it would've been pointless to introduce all these DSs if Mashima hadn't planned on them each facing and defeating a dragon. If not each then most.
That's all to happen in a relatively close but distant future yet, but closer still is what happens to Sabretooth's twin dragons, and whether they will align with FT or carry their guild with Orga and co.
Next chapter is titled "Great Dance Tournament"? how they can afford to host any sort of tourney amidst the destruction of most of Crocus is beyond me. Maybe there's a slight timeskip and it happens when repairs have been done....
I read this chapter like a bunch of times and I still can't believe that Mashima just ended it like that. It was so abrupt and anti-climactic.
The next time Charlie has a vision, eh.... This is the 2nd time she had a vision that just ended up with a big let down and didn't really go anywhere.
To help compensate with crappy ending of the arc, we get 3 new chapters 2 weeks in a row. Great.... Seriously disappointed. This arc really started strong but what a freaking let down
While it was anti-climactic, it has a bigger purpose in the long run. Mashima's done well in setting up the direction of the series to come. I'd rather pick a story that is developed over the course of the series leading to one big climax. This arc was simply a taste of things to come. The previous arc was also one as well.
Can we just get Ultear back Mashima please?
dying like a fangirl here, OMG 3 chapters so freaking close, just a few hours to wait and heaven. or trolling
