Why? Because the Uchihas are finally getting the war they wanted...against everyone for all the crap they've gone through.
Tobirama said it himself they are a cursed clan...and what other way than to bring in 3 final Uchihas to redeem the clan...
1) Madara Uchiha - needed because he is the founder of the clan.
2) Sasuke Uchiha - needed because he will be the final redeemer once Obito is defeated
3) Obito Uchiha - because he's the most cursed of the cursed Uchihas when it comes to that whole hatred switching off a huge pool of chakra in your brain thing that Uchihas have...and he's the craziest Uchiha none-the-less.
Want more support?
- Sasuke wants to be Hokage...he's finally listening to Itachi...and even if he's still a little crazy right now with all his ignoring of Naruto and what not...at least he's doing something to try to help now.
- Obitos the first Uchiha to become a Jinchuuriki
- There are 2 alive Uchiha remaining in the series...and one Undead.
- We still don't know Sasuke's full motive yet.
- Orochimaru hinted that Sasuke will be a 'New Wind' which is why Orochimaru isn't being a villain as he said to Tsunade.
Notice how the Senju clan has divided and multiplied so much while the Uchiha have diminished? It's the Uchihas time now...
My hope for the next chapter is Obito starts murdering the alliance and kills another main character...or hell maybe even a few.
Im still wanting to see madara comment on sasuke's ems and other powers

The Clan will be Redeemed when Madara succeeds in his plan which will happen the way it is explained in my thread on the main board.
This war arc will bring redemption of Uchiha clan as well, and mos probably in a way that Either Madara will help alliance to stop Obito or Sasuke Stopping Madara.
And one nut chance is that may be Obito might pull a Nagato (Not by Rinnei Tenseing every one but in some OTHER way) and prove that Uchiha were hungry for love and care and not blood thirsty beasts
The way I see it, this war is a way for the Nations to come clean for the atrocities they committed against clans and other ninja factions. It's their time to redeem themselves.
The clan itself doesn't need any redemption, they dud nothing wrong. And Madara's likely not gonna be redeemed at all, while Sasuke will for sure. Obito's really the only unknown on the redemption front.
Uchiha clan did just as wrong as Senju had done in the past. They weren't war mongers which is evident when they chose peace with the Senju. The problem is that many people see the Uchiha clan as an "evil" one lol.Look they bear that curse of hatred or some shit. They're evil! =.= .
If they had succeded in the coup, then they would've been responsible for the war which would've broken out.Konoha would be in a weakened state and other nations might've declared an attack on Konoha. Then a lot of deaths would take place.None of which happened. They haven't really made a big mistake anywhere in the past that requires redemption.Itachi actually preserved the clan's prestige one way by killing them and prevented a potential war for which Uchiha (And also Tobirama ) would've been responsible.(If Tobirama hadn't kept the clan under survileance, the coup wouldn't have been planned at all in the first place =P).
So the Uchiha don't need redemption. They weren't evil and a bunch of war loving idiots =P If you want an example then Kaguya clan (Kimimaro's people) would be a perfect one. They loved wars so much and they met their own demise through a war like idiots when they attacked Kirigakure.Kaguya clan would be the most crazy one =P
Yep. The entire Uchiha clan wasn't responsible for the actions of Madara, Obito, or Sasuke. The only ones that really consider the Uchiha altogether crazy as a bag full of cats, is characters like Danzou and Tobirama. Infact, no one in the village (current generation) has said anything along the lines of "Sasuke was expected to turn bad, because he's an Uchiha".
In other words, the Uchiha won't be redeeming the actions of their clan. Sasuke will be redeeming himself. Obito will be, potentially, redeeming himself. If these actions have any effect on the world's view of Uchiha, it'll do little more than prove what's true of every clan: that the clan has some good members, and some bad. And also prove what naruto's attempting to prove. That anyone can change no matter how terrible they are.
If Hagoromo hadn't trolled his eldest son, the Uchiha clan wouldn't be in such a sorry state. Hashirama tried to fix that decision, but was rebuffed by Hagomoro II aka Tobirama.
The tablet found at the Naka shrine can only be read by an Uchiha (in possession of the Rinnegan), which means Hagoromo knowingly bequeathed the secrets of the Shinji to his misguided eldest son. A questionable move, redeemed only by his faith in the younger son's ability to lead by example and show his brother that the Shinji is not the source of true power.
Itachi is the embodiment of those ideals, with Sasuke sure to follow. In that respects, the Uchiha are a lot like jinchuuriki. Sasuke has inherited Shuishi's will and like Izuna, he is the only one with the capacity to influence Madara's actions.
The Uchiha were all missing when Kurama attacked.
I would say this 2 things require at least some redeeming. Itachi's words:
They would lose some rep there me thinks.
Itachi assassinated the uchiha clan YEARS after Kuramas attack on the Village.
And if you were saying they just didn't defend the village, I'm sure they did, you're forgetting the show didn't introduce many uchiha members that would have been defending the village during the attack...
