The Fujisaki Girls Academy is known for their school body being composed of very proper students. The most prominent one of them is Maki, the student president who is admired by her classmates for her calm and polite demeanor. On the other hand, Kurahashi Riko is also admired but for having a very forward and boyish personality. Riko accidentally walks into Maki while she's practicing kissing with a pillow and learns that she isn't what everyone thinks she is. Riko is forced into keeping Maki's secret and join her in practicing all aspects of romance like holding hands, and more.
Have to say this was one of the best shows of this season I've watched so far. The two main characters are perfectly complementing each other. The fact that Riko is also a total love rookie, which is unknown to Maki, makes it even more funny. Even though they are so different characters, I can see a good camaraderie forming up between the two.
Hilarious. Two young girls practising how to get a boyfriend... The student council president is already incredibly funny... Together with Riko they are an outstanding comedy duo.
Can't wait to see what the rest of the student council is like...
Love Lab had not been on my list, I dl'ed the first episode on a whim. What a pleasant surprise! The first episode was really funny, the characters were memorable, the animation, and direction, were excellent. The writing was crisp, the jokes funny, and well timed. The acting was also very good. Riko was my favorite character, so far. She and Maki make a good comedic team.
riko and maki are sooooo kawaii
god i loved the comedy in this show, i guess logic would dictate that a middle aged man shoukd feel shame or guilt when finding a romantic comedy about the relationship between 8th grade girls cute and amusing
but i dont care; this could be the sleeper show if the season, i had almost given up hope that we would have an epic comedy in this summer anime season
im now looking forward to love lab!!
After reading some good comments here I decided to give it a try and it really was incredibly funny. Maki's expressions and delusions just made it for me and Riko's reactions were like the cherry on the cake
Too much epic shots:
i thought the "practicing running intp eachother in the hallway" scene was awesome

sayo and yuiko are awesome
lol at sayo continually calling yuiko a voyuer (or pervert)
and i laughed even harder at suzu trying to lie to sayo about what the body pillow is
makis attachment to that pillow is hilarious
the way she dove after huggy to protect him was classic
sayo told yuiko she declared wae on them
oh this is going to be good
my favorite part is riko smacking maki with that fan/paddle thing
I was a bit afraid whether second episode would be as good as the first, since it set such a high standard, but this wasn't one bit secondary to the first one. Huggy's background story, former president's villainous laughing, the "hentai" spam, Riko getting destroyed by the words of trust and honesty put forward.. Totally epic!
"Please carry me as a princess!"
Maki is the greatest. "Could you teach me the way of the klutz".

i found this really cute pic from the manga, its a volume cover so i dont think its a spoiler but just in case ill tag it
Rikos different hairstyles sure are awesome.
I agree with Kisame here. The scene with the fan was outstanding...
This show is way too funny...

This show is way too awesome... The "I wanna do it now!"-part almost killed me...
If I live the drama aside which was pretty clichée, i can still say that this episode was perfect. Everyone of the characters is so adorable and funny...
Maki spitting blood because of the stuff Eno said was in a league of it's own too... I hope we will see the reason for that...
"Your dad is a lingerie. Your brother is a leech."
Mizushima and Riko teaming up for the cover in the closing moments was epic. And I get the feeling they just started to get more requests on the matter with that
Best scene: Eno copying all stuff Maki has noted down as love research instantly
oh god i love eno
she is such a crybaby and a brat
riko was awesome when eno demanded she step down as assistant spicking her tongue out and pulling her eyelid down
i love how suzu always calls riko "wine"
best moment of this episode goes to maki crawling around and hiding behind trees at the beginning
something is seriously wrong with that girl

i take back that best moment post
the best moment was maki and eno insulting eachother from the roof to the ground and coughing up blood every time their was a "fatal" insult
lol at the funniest anime ive seen in a while

poor riko is caught in a lie that she didnt even really make up and sayo is the only one who is smart enough to see through it
lol at makis benefits for having long hair
and the dropping the oranges down hill and puppy/ice cream scenario would have been epic to watch
eno was trying to hide that she is the mystery request box girl
the whole lingerie song was to die for
i literally fell out of my chair
Eno didn't make the request. The request was made by a brown haired girl.
Episode itself was again very funny. Almost everything Suzu does and says is beyond stupidity...
And yes that lingery song was out of this world... Suzu had the overkill punchline though... "You're great even as a bra!"
