So is there anyone here who wants to bet on who will end up with whom?
Next week there will be the last episode, thus I think this is the right time to do this. LOL
Either way things are really compicated when it comes to shipping in this show. XD
About the episode itself, I liked it, but I do hope that things won't end like they did before.....it would be much to handle...
Having said this, I'm looking forward to watching the next episode.
P.S: Tsumugu was a boss indeed in this episode.
Kind of expected route, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole Ofuneheiki. it even felt like déjà vu even with that stormy waters disrupting the lull in the sea, then everyone falling in but perhaps most applause worthy was Kaname saving someone, and Tsumugu diving right in with Hikari along the way. Perhaps he truly doesnt even have feelings for Chisaki and is just comforting her until he can get Hikari to himself by having this play out with Miuna getting her feelings lost and trapped and maintaining a Mukaido who cant love.
insert typical praise of Akira being the little brother that everyone wants to have, so cute. *Namaka*
Wow that was powerful. As usual the scenery porn pure quality. The whole Ofuneheiki looked amazing yet again. But yes I expected that it would turn out like this again. Let's see if Hikari is powerful enough to sho Umigami who really is boss.
Save Miuna! Please... T___T
Apart from that... Tsumugu was great. Telling Chisaki that he would convice her that she does lvoe him.
This episode made me love Miuna even more... (Although I kinda saw this scene already this season... Miuna wanting to give up on love because Hikari tells her again and again that he is in love with Namaka... <.<)
She deserves happiness...

WTF T_T I knew it would be like this ! The same thing happend like years ago when Manaka saved Akari Seems like there will be no other season so next week we will see everything Pooor Miuna-chan ((((((((((((( but I like it in a way really ... Im glad its like this ... I liked how everybody jumped to the sea :33 and Kaname stayed with Sayu <333333 Chisaki finally didnt deny her feelings towards Tsumugu so we have one happy couple, we know know Manaka loves hikari another happy couple and of course Sayu and Kaname <33 This anime is really amazing Im loving it and I will miss it a lot
Not going to lie. I was underwhelmed. No couples at all... Now that is bad... Really bad... As usual the art was great and the happy ending was a given but... No... Just no.
Miuna just giving up on Hikari and throwing hints at the guy with the bike...
While this Anime was quite nice overall, this last episode makes me change my rating once again... So copy and paste:
Two words describe this show perfectly. Scenery porn. The visuals are just that dreamy. Every landscape looks like a painting. On top of that you get young characters who all fear the same thing: Change. A journey that is not over yet but will probably end with a tearjerker. that and one big clusterfuck aka love polygon...
Final Score: 7,5/10. With that it falls down to rank 5.
Hmmm. I have mixed feelings about the ending. I feel like it was rushed a little bit, but I liked the way it flowed, and it felt like an ending to me, but I wish there was more closure. :\
I can't say no one was 'confirmed', but there are strong hints. If anything, the only one that had some closure for me was TsumuguXChisaki, and I can confidently say that they are canon and will get together at some point in the future. I wish there was more of them in the ending credits aside from her walking him to the station so he could head to uni.
SayuXKaname was strongly hinted at, but they're clearly not together. At least there was a confession and some reciprocity there at some point.
And what the hell is going on with Miuna x Hikari x Manaka? I'm assuming Manaka and Hikari end up together, but there isn't even a confession or anything from either end. It's like a silent knowing or something. I wish there was at least a confession and reciprocation of feelings or something. We got a little blurb at the end and that's it.
But it's what I've come to expect. Something similar happened with AnoHana also.
Akira swimming in the sea at the end was pretty adorable though. <3 He was the best part of the second half.
Overall, I enjoyed this anime and endings are hard. Really hard, it seems. I feel like I judge anime too harshly based on endings. In general, the first half of the series was fantastic. I'd give it a 9/10 easily, if not a little higher than that. The second half was sadly a disappointment. I feel like there was just too much going on for the allotted time, too many characters, and things were rushed. As far as the romance, everything was just way too ambiguous and convoluted. Individually, I really liked the characters, and I liked Miuna and Sayu in the second half; but I feel that because things got so complicated, character development was tossed aside. Perhaps the ending is implying that the characters are changing for the better, and that change isn't a bad thing (a recurring theme throughout series), but I would've liked to see more. They aren't bad characters, but out of them, Manaka and Chisaki could have used the most development and it just wasn't there for me.
I also felt the second half was a overwhelmingly dramatic for me, and I love dramas. I wasn't bothered by the emotions and screaming in the final AnoHana episode, but enduring a good cour of waterworks, character self-pity (*ahem*Chisaki), indecisiveness, among other things, was somewhat tiring for me.
I also feel like the awakening of Shioshishio was too abrupt and should've have been paced better. It's like the sea god stopped having a 5 year long temper tantrum and released everyone from a hold or something. I would have liked a more future montage to see where the characters are at in, say, a year or so. Here it looks like a month or two. There are also a couple other loose ends I would've liked to see and more lore I would've liked to have been explored since that was one part of the show I found pretty fascinating.
The setting, world building (could've used more, but I really liked the concept and lore), animation (scenery porn!) and soundtrack were all top notch for me.
I want to give this a really good final rating and I will probably rewatch it, but at the moment it stands at this:
First half: 9/10 (maybe 9.5/10)
Second half: 6.5/10
OH I think I expected too much from the final episode and nothing what I wished for happened... Good that Miuna was saved but tbh I would prefer if she stayed there, thats how it was supposed to be .... I liked that the guys from Shio woke up ... but maan what about the couples? And that end ? At least if they said, confirmed "I love you" or kissed oh ... Im a bit disappointed ... but anyway I enjoyed the anime, it was really amazing and we all can think of another ending which would be better for us ... I wouldnt mind another season at all
My final score would be: 8.5-9/10
Guys, guys, Tsumugumu laughed!
That part made me want to ship him with ManakaThere were Manaka X Miuna hints in this finale.
So, all of this started because the Sea God misunderstood Ojoshi-sama's feelings? And I don't think that explains why he accepted sacrifices. I was not expecting to see an ending without canon pairings but I guess some are already obvious. I like how even little details had their importances in this finale. Hikari can finally see his beloved one, he knows she loves him and he does nothing at all...
The ending was good but it could have been better, 8/10 for me.

Honestly I found the ending of this show really good, but I do agree that they could have given us a couple, because they just hinted some of them.
Either way, this was definitely one of my favourite of the season and the way everything got fixed was beautiful indeed (the sea sparkling like that was just like a painting).
I kinda wish they could make an OAV.
