During the early 20th century, along with technological advancements, scientists were able to develop sophisticated magic. The combination of science and sorcery was Makinot, circuits made from spells that were put into objects to bring them to life and even gain a personality. It was developed as a military weapon and has now spread throughout the world.
Akabane Raishin is now attending the Royal Academy to become the best in the world. Accompanied by the lovely teenage girl Yaya, who is actually Raishin’s puppet weapon, he plans on rocketing to the top of the class. However, his test scores come nearly dead last although his combat skills and determination are second to none. Raishin has to compete with the deadliest of classmates if he wants to come out as the king.
A really entertaining first episode. Hard to accept that Yaya is actually not a girl, but a tool. Hope Raishin behaves more properly towards her. Their attacking seemed to be more of a combination, unlike what the other puppeteers' have shown.
Not mentioned in the synopsis, he seems to be aiming to kill a certain man instead of the rather boring "I'll be the best" stuff. Probably flashbacks coming in the next episode now.
Well, Raishin is a bit of a douche in treating Yaya like that, and the then the figure of the avenger is starting to annoy me....
Oh well, at least the anime is really intriguing with this story and I wonder who that masked guy killed (the girl in the FB resembles a lot Yaya).
In any case Yaya is an adorable perverted girl. XD
I might have thrown out a guess like Yaya's design being based on that girl in the flashback, but the way Raishin referred to Yaya didn't make me think she was a specially produced personal model, so, it's still unlikely. It might still turn out to be that way in the end, though.
Well, the historical base for events is still barely touched. So, the girl that more or less looked like Yaya was named Nadeshiko. I wonder if she was Raishin's sister.
So, it seems that Charl also will have some sort of character depth. I was thinking maybe she'll just be left as she is in the story, a heiress to a noble family, nothing more nothing less. But I like it more this way.
This Cannibal Candy incident seems fishy, though. There is no denying that Raishin displayed some potential, but I doubt Felix himself is a weakling, so, I wonder why he pulled him into this matter so fast.
Maybe they want to get rid of Raishin? Maybe the student council (?) is fishy too?
Anyway the episode was quite nice. Giving Charl some depth was necessary.
I just wonder why Yaya is crying... pearls...?
Anyway let's what happens next time. At the moment still a bit mediocre but entertaining enough.
Whoa, that Magnus sure is a fearsome opponent; I wonder if he's the real culprit behind the attack on Raishin's village...
Anyway it was an entertaiining episode with the date and Yaya's pervertedness; Charlotte is without a doubt a Tsundere, that's why she's so cute.
About that Felix guy, yeah, he sounds fishy, but I guess we will see in the next episode who this Candy Cannibal really is.
That was some nice action and this was really a good episode.
Charlotte is your typical tsundere, but I really like her character; that's why I hope that she will remain the main heroine (along with Yaya of course).
Now, I'm really looking forward to watching the next episode.
That was a nice battle. Yaya is pretty strong... But maybe I really wait for the uncensored version again next time... Those light beams were pretty annoying...
Anyway... Charl is a nice Tsundere character and will be the main love interest... Apart from Yaya... Although Raishin made it pretty clear that he loves big oppai...
Looking forward to next week.

I'm curious about Magnus at the moment. I mean, Raishin cannot be that old, so, judging by that, Magnus should actually have an idea about what Raishin's deal is. He seems confused and intrigued, to put it in words.
The best thing about this show is the ongoing gag between Charl and Sigmund. Poor Sigmund's meal has been demoted to breadcrumb this time
Episode 5 spoilers:
Damn, dat cliffhanger!
I really enjoyed this episode and Frey, other than being freaking adorable (
and with huge boobs ), she's also very funny with all those assassinations attempts which invited misundersanding. LOL
As for Yaya, her jealousy towards all the other girls, makes her a really awesome character. XD
Now I wonder who attacked her at the end of the episode; Loki? way too obvious....
Anyway about Frey's and Loki's father, there's something fishy about him; damn this academy is the last one you would want to attend. LOL
