I think even if they were explaining it to non-gamers it was a little overdone.
If they just called it a Cool Down Time and Casting Time then showed what was happening next I don't think anybody would have been unable to figured it out for themselves. Strikes me as just a case of underestimating the ability of an audience to figure things out on their own. The context of when the terms "Cool Down" and "Casting Time" (which are somewhat self explanatory to begin with, at least in english) were brought up made it clear enough so I find it very doubtful the exposition was necessary.

Good episode again. Looks like we'll get some kind of plot development next time.
Nyanta and Shiro are a great team. That victory was flawless.
But let's hope Serara levels a bit so she can became a good healer.
Akatsuki is too damn cute and badass... Damn what a moe Assassin...
Episode 5 spoilers:
Akatsuki and Serara... Moe overload... The one has a crush on our cat... The other one is in love with the main character... And both are so adorable...
It's about time the plot moves forward though... We learned more about the world but that is it.
Next goal will be to free the "slaves" me thinks...

Anyway I really liked this episode and it was funny to see allo f them camping togheter. XD
Next week I guess we will see Shiroe making up his mind about the children and thus helping them.
That's why I'm quite looking forward to watching the next episode.
This show is so strange. Large parts of the guild drama just don't make a lot of sense, since death isn't permanent and, as far as we've seen, people can leave guilds at any time. I feel like the drama shouldn't work at all but somehow... it just does.
I don't know how Log Horizon is doing it, but I'm loving just the same.
This episode was ok not really a favorite for me but I guess we're back to rescuing mission soon.
I'm also wondering what happened to the user's RL bodies whilst they're stuck in the game.
No cause was said for their current situation, as of yet either....
I really liked this episode and I can't wait to see how Shiroe's plan will work out.
In any case I really liked that they has shown us Shiroe's thoughts and beliefs; it made us finally understand why he didn't enter in any guild after the tea party.
Now I'm looking forward to watching the next episode.
P.S: Nice theory Jammin.
A nice Shiroe episode. The title resolve was very fitting. With this he was finally able to create his own guild and he already has 3 powerful members.
Looking at the ending song... I guess all of them are joining his guild in the end.
It's time to save those children!
Sadly for me of the six episodes Ive seen only one hasnt managed to make me doze off. I think its just better done in the written medium than as an anime as its too detail heavy and lacks much of anything interesting. I wouldnt have minded letting the character designs be left to imagination either if it was done as a book as so far there is barely anyone present that deserves much attention or care. Well theres the one guy thats stuck as a secondary role as the guild that theyve been visiting for awhile now and the other dude thats stuck in Hamlin, but thats it. Will at least keep watching to see how things play out.
Debauchery Tea Party > Log Horizon
Oh the horror... Poor Akatsuki. Reduced to a dressing doll. I seriously hope she'll be epci again in the near future.
I really want to know which kind of plan Shiroe has in the long run.
Really a good show.
I wish they would tell us whats happening in the real world, well its what is keeping me glued to this anime.
Otherwise it feels like there are clear instances where it is just another Maoyuu except in an mmo setting instead of medieval times...which is kind of boring. If we wanted a life simulator type thing then I imagine we would just play many of the numerous ______ tycoon games.
I'm interested enough in his plan to keep watching even without really understanding what's going on (He's obviously trying to get the money to buy a building, but to what end?)
