The Emperor's Time
Legend of the Martial Artist
Welcome to the nomination phase of
Best OST Track
This thread if for this specific category only, for discussion regarding other categories and general discussion about the Awards, please visit the Hunter x Hunter Awards Discussion Thread.
This is an ANIME-ONLY thread. Any discussion of manga that have not yet been shown in the anime are disqualified entries.
The music of Hunter x Hunter has had its ups and downs and has garnered praise and criticism from the fans. What do you believe is the best OST track in Hunter x Hunter. This could include character themes, opening themes, ending themes, background music, etc. It could be a track that's so riveting that you play it over and over again. It could also be a track that was enhanced by its usage in the anime.
Note: When nominating for this category, we ask that you either provide a link or embed a video in spoiler tags of the track (to cut back on loading time). As some of us aren't familiar with the name of the tracks, this will help immensely during the nomination and voting process.
Enjoy the Awards and thanks for understanding!

I nominate World of Adventurers and Departure For Strings
I nominate < The Emperor's Time >
good ost for tight situations.
this one for sure
I pick One on One Match Electron Avalanche Mix
One of the best fight action themes in the genre especially the middle point of the song.
Gyakujuuji no Otoko and Riot
I have a question. Can we nominate OSTs from the 1999 Anime, or is it 2011 Anime only?
Anyway, my nominations are:
Tell Me - Both the instrumental version (which I can't seem to find on YouTube), and the one with Killua singing. Madhouse always saves this track for Killua's best scenes, for the obvious reason that it is awesome.
Killua's theme - I know I gave my last nomination to a Killua song, but I can't help it including this one as well. The mix of sadness and gratitude in it makes it one of the most emotional pieces in the entire soundtrack.
Riot - What can I say, it matched the tone of the Requiem perfectly, and is an exceptional piece of music on it own.
Elegy of the Dynast
Departure For Strings
Mainly to eliminate any confusion. I agree that 1999 anime has some really great tracks, but for the sake of consistency, I think it's best to stick with one anime. Especially since everything that's been covered by the 1999 anime with regards to canon storyline has already been covered by the new version.Quote:
For now, I will support the nominations for Riot and Elegy of the Dynast. Riot fit perfectly with Uvo's requiem. Elergy of the Dynast is just a very pretty track and can't wait to see how it's used in the series.
