Forum News: Vote in the final phase of the Anime Awards 2014
Welcome to the nomination phase of
This thread if for this specific category only, for discussion regarding other categories and general discussion about the Awards, please visit the Hunter x Hunter Awards Discussion Thread.
Note: This is a manga-only thread. There will be spoilers, and thus, anime-only viewers should tread with caution when viewing this thread. Please continue to use spoiler tags when appropriate.
Throughout its run, HunterxHunter has had quite the cast of villains. Some have directly opposed the main cast and others have flip-flopped or may not seem like villains at all when you look at it. Either way, they have, at some point, played the role of an antagonist during an arc. Who do you think is the best villain, thus far, in the series?
Enjoy the Awards and thanks for understanding!

I nominate Pariston
I nominate the Chimera Ant King, Meruem. Chapter 314 sealed the deal for me, character development at its finest...
I nominate Neferpitou. Mostly for all the evil cruelties he does.

Meruem all the way
Meryem, Neferpitou, and Hisoka get my nominations.
My reasons for Meryem and Pitou are similar to what has already been said.
Hisoka is just awesome. You never know which side he's on and he's pretty cunning (even duping Killua during GI).
I know this says Manga only(haven't read the manga) but from what I've seen I'd have to say Merum because he's awesome and Hisoka.. Hisoka is unpredictable and he has a unique personality. That's why I like him
I nominate Hisoka because he's so cool and mysterious.... Although i don't really know if he's classified as a villian
I nominate Genthru, because no one else will. He was an intimidating presence throughout the Greed Island arc. Good villains don't always have to be multidimensional.
I nominate Meruem
One of the things I really like about him is that he sees himself as expendable for the sake of the Phantom Troupe's existence. Furthermore he is a great leader for having the faith, admiration and loyalty from all those members.
He is like the real Joker. Unpredictable, very funny and a person you don't want as an enemy.
