Three chapters, 2 months in a row? Wow, Konomi is spoiling us, hehe ;P
Really and truly, Tokugawa was being the ordinary cocky guy like everybody else.
Byoudouin then humbled him. He tortured him a little in a similar fashion to what Atobe did to Tezuka.
Instead of finishing him off, he decided to give him some long term damage.
I mean in PoT logic, shots to the face and stomach have never been that life threatening.
This is a great backstory. I think this could finish as one of the entire series best rivalries.
Since I don't see anything being rekindled between Byoudouin VS Oni.
I'm disappointed in Oni and Irie though. Instead of becoming stronger and challenging the rest of the world, they restricted their own growth just for Tokugawa?
I mean... It was Tokugawa who was being a cocky guy in the first place.
Overall real pleased with this months installments
Let's see, chap 1:
Every amnesia themed plot is... dumb. In books, tv series, in anything. Dunno why Konomi went that way again (but I guess it was the only way to explain how Ryoma didn't remember his own brother... so I'm Ok with it).
Ryoma is going to have a match against the guy that JUST teached him his last move and that surely has a lot more moves to destroy him? Ok.
¨No one at the camp has any courage to face Tokugawa except for Byoudouin.¨
Really? Or just camp fodders? Cause I don't think that anyone from the G 10 would be scared.
Tokugawa suffering... marvelous
Irie wants to be a doctor? ...good way to make him drop his spot later. Also, he HAS to do the patching or he just felt like to? Ok, it's a camp with over 100 students that practice MMA with tennis racquets, get some doctors please.
¨Just Kidding¨ moment. Cool.
Not much happenned... the huge hole in Byoudouin's racquet impresses me though. I think that's the most suffering a racquet had so far in PoT, lol.
I guess Byoudouin will have to go all in, cause Tokugawa might be even better than Oni... we'll surely have some more flashbacks in the next chapters.
3 chapters of character development for Tokugawa... guess what, ¨ok¨, lol.

Interesting backstory, Tokugowa was a cocky brat, Byoudin was a a Senpai who takes things too far in teaching him a lesson. It looks like Irie was also a first string since him and Oni said that they wouldn't be going overseas, but Irie was wearing 2nd string colors, maybe he had recently made first string right before this? This chapter also made it seem like Irie and Oni were in the same league, so we already know Oni is a contender for top player, maybe Irie is too? or at least around top 3?
I have to believe.Tokugawa will win!
I really don't think you'd want Irie to be your doctor.
He does that joke here...kinda...
You're fine Tokugawa...wait, what the hell is this
Just Kidding...you're really okay
The Chinese version says 'his pulse... it can't be! Just kidding!"
^Yep, I was paraphrasing because I was too lazy to go paste from the translation
Lol, worst doctor ever.
Eh, I still like Oni more than Tokugawa. I always like people who like children. But Tokugawa is up there right now on my fav HS people.
All Byoudouin did was punish Tokugawa for being a cocky brat.
Its no different from Yukimura, Sanada and Atobe attempting to deliver a beating to Ryoma. They all forced him to bring out everything he had before trying to crush him. Only difference between Tokugawa and Ryoma is that Tokugawa isn't blessed with Ryoma's plot power.
Byoudouin did nothing wrong. Trying to kill your opponent beyond is customary in HS Tennis in PoT.
Oni went and freaking ruined Kaji's career and just said "Sorry Kaji...". I think Oni is one heck of an asshole for that.
Oni is an asshole for turning his back on all those kids he was taking care of. He should have helped Tokugawa and got back onto his path.
Irie should have done the same imo.
But it makes sense, since Japan suck at tennis and are "An island nation of tennis amateurs...", it makes sense Irie wants a top job qualification once he retires from tennis completely at probably a young age since there aren't many in Japan who could live off of it as a Pro I imagine.
With less than 10 guys performing DBZ!Tennis, The camp in the 2nd year didn't realize having medics on hand is a necessity.
I think after Tokugawa held his beating, they probably invested in medics.
Then again, the coaches are a bit retarded since, even after matches involving Tohno, Duke, Oni and Byoudouin ALL on ONE day, you'd think it'd be common sense to have a medical team on hand.
Just wanted to say, "Yamato has been seen in the G10 arc!!!".
Really glad he's got a panel haha.

Byodouin says his style is to push people to their limit. I can almost see him saying, "What, this guy didn't suddenly glow with aura while on the verge of death? Everyone I know can do that!" He also says let's enjoy tennis. I can see him going TnK and still doing his killer tennis, and people will be like "How can this be possible? TnK is all about enjoying tennis!" and Byodouin will say, "Yes, I enjoy killing people with tennis!"
Honestly, if you're someone in the world of POT, you'd notice by now people randomly get up from verge of death and become 10 times stronger after, so I think you can make a legitmate argument that Byodouin was trying to help Tokugawa and just happened to be unlucky to find the one guy who could've actually died instead of doing the usual near-death powerup deal.
