In this modern magic action story, Takeshi Nanase is an ordinary high school boy who has a somewhat dark past. Due to certain circumstances, he formed a "fake" couple with his childhood friend Kurumi Isoshima, but otherwise, he lives a normal life. However, one day, he comes across a girl named Mui Aiba, in a uniform he has never seen before, collapsed on the school campus. This encounters changes Takeshi's destiny completely. Mui tells Takeshi that she is a magician, and she apologizes, for she turned Takeshi into a magician, too. What Takeshi once knew as one world is actually two—the world where magicians live and the world where humans live.
Im hoping this one wont turn into another "Strike the Blood".
Okay Miu is damn cute. Iwoshimas transformation skills are convenient...
I would call it bad luck that really everyone there was transformed into a magician...
For now I will continue to watch this show. It could be interesting.
The ED song is amazing.
The anime magical system feels like something thats been done before in another popular magic series or at least some aspects of it, the Knowing eye at least. Otherwise just odd with giving every character magical powers.
Im glad it feels different then Strike the Blood, but in a season with three magic based Light novel adaptations, its far from being as great as Tokyo Ravens, and somewhere at a level down there with Strike the Blood. Will keep watching.
I have mixed feelings about episode 1. I wasn't too keen on the animation and the beginning part of it, by the end of the episode it got better. I really like the ending song and sequence. The animation was pretty lackluster in certain spots. And some of the plot direction I was pretty 'meh' about.
I'll continue watching this, but if it doesn't improve on some areas, I'll probably end up dropping it. :|

The genre to which Mahou Sensou, Tokyo Ravens, Strike the blood and To aru Majutsu no index belongs, has become pretty popular recently, that's why we have so many of them in one anime season.
Anyway, I'll definitely keep on watching this, because it has a lot of potential for me.
Mui is cute, the MC is badass, Isoshima and and the other one could become a good supporting cast.
Definitely looking forward to watching the next episode.
I liked episode one. The premise was interesting, the characters likable, and the action scenes were well done. Mui is adorable, I am already a fan. Nao's voice work for the role is as awesome as ever. I'm glad that she has two big roles this winter, I had missed her. I almost didn't recognize Mamoru. Takeshi isn't quite as strange as the typical Mamoru character. Mahou Sensou has a lot of potential.
Can a kendo practitioner tell me how durable are bamboo swords? So the story is about 3 friends who accidentally became magicians. At least I grasped all the magic explanations. I would give it a 7/10, the MC catchphrase is kinda lame though.
Miu shows a lot of affection for Takeshi huh? That was pretty fast. Well at least she has a good rival in Isoshima.
I really like that Gunblade though. The design is great.
Furthermore some shady characters apperead. Good episode I guess.

Far better than episode one was, especially with Twilight stuff. However it feels kind of clear that Gekkou may potentially be the one that cast of his magic and did the magic sword maybe. Though I cant remember his backstory that well from episode one. Or at least its building him up to be someone interesting with the look he gave on the steps.
It was nice to have right on the bat some info about the ruined world and the magic classes; too bad that because of this the episode felt so short.
Anyway I'm the only one who thinks that Gekkou and Takeshi's mother was the previous owner of Twilight (which it's really a cool-looking blade)?
This show is going to be good, that's why I can't wait for the next episode already.
So it is a romance / drama show now? I would've problems here... Miu and Kurumi are both way too cute... (I guess I'd go for Miu atm. )
Makes me wonder what this whole show is about to be honest.
The reason for the fake relationship is sad though...
I'm pretty sure he will fall for Miu pretty fast though.
And what is the deal with Takeshis brother?
Much of the episode was boring, but then when the flashback happened and the car moment, mindblown.
I cant believe the kind and nice Takeshi would do that.
I was not expecting something like this but it exceeded my expectations. The Takeshi/Kurumi/Mui triangle seems forced to me, Mui loves him already. And was it necessary to reveal that accidental kiss? She must feel guilty but still... The triangle with Gekkou is at least believable.
I don't see how he could fall for Mui actually, but since it is already forced Kurumi should better confess for real.
