Hey guys. As the name suggests this thread is about unpopular One Piece opinions. You guys might know the internet meme "Unpopular Opinion Puffin". This one:
I thought it would be fun to do a One Piece version of this since I feel I (and maybe you aswell) have a few opinions that the majority of One Piece fans would disagree with. So here goes:
...Zoro has too many badass moments.
...Chopper and Nami are useless and uninteresting.
...Sanji isn't much weaker than Zoro
...Coby is uninteresting
...the strawhats have too much luck
...CP9 was a huge disappointment as the 2nd strongest WG secret organization
...Kizaru is the coolest admiral
...Vivi is annoying and I'm glad she doesn't appear often anymore
...the whole Arabasta arc wasn't THAT great

...I really dislike that chopper & CO ("weak trio") Still shit their pants even after the timeskip. It's been happening literally all.the.time. And it's mostly because I think that going-all-out Chopper is a beast post timeskip.
...Kizaru is the coolest Admiral by far.
...I really really want to see Coby and Garp (Fine Helmeppo as well)
...I actually like DD's crew a lot and I think they're much stronger than they've shown so far, especially the family leaders.
...I actually want Bartolomeo to join the crew so bad.
...I actually think that Ace was strong as hell, especially for his age. And that he was one of the top players in the NW.
...Had Ace gone all out from the start VS Blackbeard he would have won. He was careless and overconfident.
...I actually believe that DF's are artifical to begin with, so DD's "Smiles" aren't really fake DF they're just a new generation in the early research stages so to speak.

Hmm, this'll be a rather fun topic, lol.
...Ace wasn't as strong as the other Whitebeard Commanders, at least, Marco, Jozu, and Vista.
...Crocodile is stronger than most people think and he's just a victim of the Pre-Haki days.
...The time skip has been rather slow in terms of pacing and action.
...Shanks swordsmanship will be revealed to be comparable to Mihawk's, despite his handicap.
...Sanji being a chef has no barring on his strength and he's up there with Luffy and Zoro in strength as he's been since the first part of the series.
That's about it for now. Although I must say, unlike you, I do find Coby interesting and hope to see his growth more.

- Luffy is more interesting when has his mature moment and act like a captain.
- Other than Jinbei, the straw hats doesn't need another crew member.

Chopper, Nami, Robin, Franky, and Brook need to be killed off since all are too weak to be in Luffy's ideal crew.
Goa Kingdom flashback arc was best arc.
- Ace deserved his death
- Smoker losing to Law as easily as he did is not worthy of being to Luffy what Garp was to Roger. He needs to power up.
Love Smoker, he is awesome but that's the cold hard truth from me.
vista isn't as strong as people make him out to be, mihawk was nowhere near going all-out against him, plus he was even distracted i dare say that law would beat him(due to his hax ability).
MF croc > MF luffy.
magellan is stronger than all the VA's.
ace/ivankov/brainy kuma/magellan/shiryu/cavendish/BB are haki users.
yami teach is above the TS SNs.
Oda's attempts at humor with other characters tend to fail. Perfect examples are the Doflamingo crew's quirks. Diamante contradicting Doflamingo, and Trebol invading personal space were annoying and dumb.
Otohime's flashback was absolute crap and boring, just as bad as Chopper's.
Zoro and Sanji are far more badass/have more badass moments than Luffy.
Oda and One Piece are far too overrated and overhyped. And this is coming from someone who loves One Piece.
Fishman Island does not deserve the criticism it gets, especially when read in a batch.
Davy Back arc was a good mini arc and an important mini arc because it foreshadowed what was going to happen.
One Piece is overrated mainly after Marineford its just failed to be as exciting as hardcores try to make it.
Baffled that one believes Ace needed to die as I am for people justifying it that it is important for Luffy's development. I dont think, if we apply this to the real world, that someone dying is vital for someone to experience growth...A good writer could still deliver powerful emotions and character growth without the need to kill people.
