So I've just started looking into it but this Takato's manga page on kodansha site has astronomic 110 (!!!) pages sample. Good stuff.
I'm reading that one as I said in my post. (The suicide one)

Don't understand what happen. Is he replied you in Russian or something?
Anyway, seem like Tenkū Shinbon and Ana Satsujin exceed its expection at very least. by able to manage Top 50 in first day at Shoseiki500.
That one usually thanks people for RTs.
I wish District Hakkenshi [Code: T-8] had made it in the upper part of the 500 (was at 70 or so first day, so I doubt we'll see it on oricon).
No, that's just a "thanks for RT" tweet but it's in Russian, yeah. Haven't expected that he/she/they will go that far.
Also I've found this one:
and considering that they're calling manga/comics "Мультфильмы/cartoons" I guess it's showing the use of the machine translation.
Also in English:
BTW it's "Tenkuu Shinpan" not "Tenkuu Shinbon".

Aaand Manga Box app download count is more than 4mln. now.
I wonder how many oversea downloaders.
So I've tried playing with google trends and got some interesting result (at least something before we get the first week sales) - main point is that Tenkuu Shinpan and Ana Satsujin are definitely the most popular original Manga Box works (well, according to google at least). So here's the comparison:
Ana Satsujin/Tenkuu Shinpan/Takato/Billion Dogs/Green Worldz (not sure about the last one but it might be as popular as Takato at least?)
Ana Satsujin/Tenkuu Shinpan/Takato/Billion Dogs/Hatsukoi Shinjuu
Ana Satsujin/Tenkuu Shinpan/Takato/Billion Dogs/Hakkenshi
Billion Dogs/Hatsukoi Shinjuu/Hakkenshi
Kaeru no Ossan/Wanko (least popular, can't even compare to Hatsukoi Shinjuu but at least trends are there)
Another interesting thing I've found is that it was reported (on twitter at least) that Apocalypse no Toride has become selling much more and they had to make several reprints after it was transferred on Manga Box. And, well, google trends actually confirm this (Bonus).
I haven't included Take Dake Dake! though because the title is too vague (Horizon isn't there for the same reason). Akoya is the least popular and didn't even get any results.

Oh and I've been waiting for them to add something like this page. At last.

Does anyone knows if it's possible to read past chapters besides the tanks? I want to catch-up some series, but don't know where to look (if there's some place :P).
Maybe this place, but it looks like it wasn't updated for a while. You can also try to google for some online readers.

21. *35,149 *,*35,149 Takato Shounen no Jikenbo
Aaand in the end Takato was the only one to get into the rankings. Not that unpredictable for me.
Actually, Takato sale bit less than I expected. because I expected it sale around 50-60% of Kindaichi regular volume which should be something around 40-45k this week.
Well Takato is still the only one non-origianl manga (well-known franchise spin-off with its antagonist) so it had all the chances to appear there.
I wonder if digital version sales matter though, but there's no way to find out any numbers (only if they post something on twitter later).
