Woah! This week's episode.. Well that was unexpected O.o I didn't expect Youpi to have a change of heart.. But I didn't really understand why Pouf is listening to Gon, AH I gotta rewatch it to understand what's going on better because it has so much depth
Good episode but I enjoyed last week's better :P
And Knov's hair is hilarious.. damn I thought we'd see him overcome his fear but it seems it took a turn for the worse XD
Animation, voice, music, pace, story... loved everything. 10/10
I think hxh has set the bar too high, every other anime lately feels boring and dumb.
i really thought i had seem some amazing stuff, however youpi.... in this episode just blew me completely away.
i agree that hunter x hunter is by far the greatest anime i have ever seen. the animation the emotion the attention to detail, and the story.... wow the fucking story is unparalleled
this is the best episode ive seen and it seems that things are only getting better as this invasion arc progresses
if such magnificent material is the by-product of togashi taking hiatus's then i am all for it.
and madhouse is just the best .... period
youpi knows how much stronger he is, and yet he sees how hard they are trying, and is so impressed that he admires them
togashi really knows how to develop characters, this arc in my opinion advances togashi to another tier above other writers in this genre....
and the amazing thing about that is i am a manga fan, who happens to watch some animes, but i almost ALWAYS prefer the manga over the anime
yet this anime makes me want more, every single time. its like a great book that you dont want to end
Great episode, slightly but surely Youpi climbing the ladder as the best royal guard.
Next week, should be fun.

What a disappointing episode. We spent over ten weeks on these losers taking up tons of screentime only to see them lose and Youpi walk away, not even taking any damage?! This is problematic writing at its finest.
Only praiseworthy thing is it actually surprising us by not making Youpi not seem as battle crazed as he initially seemed to be, so kudos to Togashi for doing that for him, its always nice to see a writer go against the grain.
How could you hate it?
I agree that youpi's rapidly maturing/evolving character is the best part of the episode
to try to view things from your prespective i will admit that i was surprised that youpi got all soft, but honestly that was my favorite part, not that i just c
didnt want anyone to die, on the contrary one of my favorite aspects of hxh is that togashi is not afraid to kill off characters
but youpi's admiration and mercy are so far gone from what he was at first, that it makes one marvel at the complexity and astonishing adativity of the ants
The main point of this entire arc is to show the Chimera Ants' evolution into more human-like creatures. Hunter x Hunter is simply disguised as a simple battle manga where the heroes go from one enemy to the next. The group fighting Youpi was never strong enough to beat him, and they kind of expected that. These Ants are supposed to be so outrageously strong that even the Spiders have a hard time beating the shittier ones. Togashi refuses (at least in this manga) to follow the traditional method of battle manga. Hell, remember the entire Spiders arc? There weren't many fights and the ones that did happen most of the individuals involved walked away. I'm not sure where the surprise is here lol
It's the journey, not the destination!
Incredible episode, whoa Youpi shined in this episode. Like wow Hunter X Hunter has been so incredible, I love Youpi's transformation and the proper harnessing of his rage. Also wow, Pouf can be pretty damn cruel in the beginning, he's smart though.
I loved every bit of this episode, Morel just trying to save enough time to be able to severely handicap Youpi, and everything just was so masterful about this episode. Knuckle was freaking incredible, even if he couldn't pull off the mission. Everything he did/said in this episode impacted me.
it is almost perfect.
Honestly, the true reason the Invasion Squad members are alive is because of their trust and teamwork compared to the RGs who have huge character flaws(Pouf is obsessed by mind games and you must admit that Youpi was fighting like an idiot before his evolution), Pitou is the best RG but her loyalty to the King forces her to do her best and prioritizes Komugi. All the RGs have the level to give Netero a difficult fight, if Pitou wasn't the healer, many would have died like Kite..
The Royal Guards were hyped up to be basically untouchable and here we see Youpi
living up to that hype. The fact that those ten weeks of work from those "losers"
amounted to nothing is a part of what makes Hunter x Hunter stand out from other
Shonen. What HxH may lack in action it more than makes up in conflict.
Would you have preferred that Knuckle stay hidden to keep APR on and sacrifice Morel?
Strategically it makes sense. But would it be the Morel thing to do?
