But Yukimura didn't have any of tech that won't will make Shuuji won't be able to reach the ball at all. Shuuji can catch up to Rai.
And Yukimura defense isn't perfect either. Shot still got pass him. Mu can nullify all spin and put the ball at the point where Yukimura cannot reach just fine.
side question: does the Mu Shot have to be consciously activated or is it always on naturally?
cuz if not i can see shuji being affected by the "spot" tech lol.
We saw Tanegashima reflecting Rai without hitting Mu, so I guess it's something he does when he feels like to.
With Spot you mean Ibu's move?
Rai is both a speed shot and a power shot. When Tezuka first faced it, he can't even hit the ball at all until he used Tezuka Zone. Of course ever since then Rai just become some kind of generic power shot but it was not always just a power shot.
I'm pretty sure it's still a power shot, but imo it shows that techniques stats of 7 means you can return Rai without breaking your racquet because you can control the string enough or something.
But in order for spot to work, you need long rallies (and Tanegashima should be able to win a point in like 2 hits). It's like a mini-yips.
so can we add tokugawa to teh list who can beat shuji?
If Tokugawa wins, I'm sure he can beat Shuji.
