average chapter,I expected much more, instead it turned out to be a wide-range chapter, where each character is shown in just one page. Law's flashback would have been much better, especially because oda had already focused our attention towards it. This time I really hope franky owns senor, whereas Sabo VS Issho was a given but it's awesome nonetheless!
Sabo what a badass
Confronts an Admiral and a vice admiral but stays cool and is confident to beat them
Hope we will see a fight
Hmm, a pretty awesome chapter I must say!
Welcome back, Oda!
Although, I still think he should take a much needed break from all this.
Well lets get the facts straight.
- 1 admiral (Fujitora)
- 2 Vice-Admirals (Bastille and Maynard)
- at least 2 captains (next to Maynard, wearing a coat)
-And other Marines
One Piece is a disappointment. Super Sonic is unnecessarily harsh but the point is by following soo many groups of characters which btw aren't revelant to the plot eats up too much panel time then we get chapters like this, which doesn't go anywhere. We got a bunch of "strong" characters hyped up like balloons yet since there are almost no fights or single panel bouts or just one hit KO, antagonists's strengths aren't valorised.
I agree withn the whole built up of characters. I rambeled about Chinjao a couple of weeks ago already. Set up like he was something, now he is a bunch of dudes running around in comedy. Oda even gave him CoC, which for me downgrades it completly. WHAT A WASTE.
Otherwise, I am fine with the chapter.
Somehow I was expecting the flashback this week, but looks like we'll have to wait to know the story (as happened on PH with the name of the Yonkou, remember?)... but I love Sabo!!! *^*
Anyway, do you guys know where I could read the chapter in Japanese? I'd really like to, but I couldn't find anything!
I really hoped we would get something about Sanji since it is chapter 750 and a surprize would have been nice. Also no Law flashback and it looked like Law was unconscious hanging on ucy so we might get the flashback when luffy fights DD combined with DD's own flashback.
Bartho's panels are always so amusing
best of this chapter: Bartho and Rebecca will go help Law and Sabo is facing Fujitora's group. (I hope we see some fighting)
worst of this chapter: there is no continuation of the last cliffhanger (Law's past with the Donquixote Family) fodder's panels are quite big, too big IMO.
off-topic tip: If you don't enjoy One Piece right now I suggest you to wait 1 year so this arc is done completely so you can read this altogether.

I'm making a wild guess. It could be the case of having Law's flashback till Luffy arrives, and while fighting with DoFlamingo. There is also a chance of Viola's key delivery or from someone else to uncuff Law that enables him to fight, which then gives an opportunity of a flashback arc. It may not be so appropriate at the current moment, given that the focus is on the "preparation", that is, setting the scene for the individual groups for battle. Besides those who have appeared in this chapter, there are also a few who are still yet to show. They probably will be showcased next week.
its nice to have one piece back on the weekly schedule.
sabo was awesome at end
the barto fanboy gag has gotten old in my opinion,as has the "ill be the one to get doflamingo" gag...
i loved rebeccas confidence when she said she would bring the key to "lucy"
After the two week break and extensively reading other manga, i'm REALLY beginning to see how bad this One Piece pacing is.
I've noticed it's slow but Oda really is packing the chapters with useless information and dialogue, and failing to actually progress the story much.
And I really wanted to hear Law's backstory. Oda actually did something similar with the Toy Soldier where he ended the chapter making the Soldier say he'll explain the history of Dressrosa, then went on hiatus because of his surgery, and came back without explaining the history of Dressrosa as the last chapter implied it would.
Not really a complaint of his health or breaks, but more of how misleading he can be at times. Like how he had on the last page of a chapter a panel of Fuji and Zoro clashing, and then in the next chapter they appear in different areas as if they didn't cross blades.
Oda will probably jump around the Sabo fight and only give pieces of it like the fight on Green Bit, so i'm not hyped over it. Still a cool double spread though.
Ok, I read it again after the first time just to be thorough and here are my thoughts:
1. As usual, I find it very entertaining to see Luffy and the gladiators just plowing through the fodder like there nothing.
2. Just seeing Robin discarding or "de-blooming" (if that's the right word for it) the hana hana-grid ladder in order to drop those enemies was hilarious.
3. I find Viola's speech to King Riku quite touching.
4. Franky vs Senior Pink Round 2 I'm guessing. This should be interesting.
5. That ending with Sabo standing against Fujitora and the marines is so full of win!!
