YES! PURE AWESOMENESS!
Nothing further to add.
Well it was kinda obvious, at the pace the manga is being written. But is it confirmed that there will be new nakamas?
Thanks for sharing the link.
I believe it would be nice to have new members in Straw Hat's crew. From what Oda has said, he probably would be adding it soon. Whether it is one or two new members, it would be gradual with one at a time.
Oh, I wonder who the new candidate is. hehe!
I thought that this interview post could be the answer on our "nakama questions" - and Odas health ofc!
Do you think he is being serious with his sleep times? Oo
Sounds kinda inhuman...
Because Oda is god!
People who read their manga for free and illegally as scanlation only and just annotate negatively about pace, length or breaks/hiatuses don't have anything like patience or empathy - so there's no need to waste one's time with it. They just want the manga's arc to end right now and develop the way they expect and want. That is indeed a simple pattern to "criticise" - but it can last as long as those long-term stories go on and is easy to pull out from week to week.
One Piece, Fairy Tail, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball - they all had to face this. Both Shingeki no Kyoujin, Toriko and any other long-term story that is about to follow them up will suffer from this, too. You just have to observe so-called fanbase forums - which is what I'm going back to do now again.
It's really wonderful he confirmed himself that there is still a lot to tell although I wonder whether 10 years will really be enough. Unless he'll suddenly start to prune his chapters to the essential parts he will probably extend even this deadline.
That aside, even though Oda told us about his sleeping schedule about a decade ago and a few other mangakas claim to sleep as little as him I'm still skeptical that he doesn't take any other naps.

Ive known this before the time skip. The story has WAYYY too much to cover where it would take at least 12 years to fulfill. And that's absolutely fine, because I love one piece.
Hopefully Oda really means running One Piece for 10 years, not stretching it like a piece of gum until its stale. Looking at Naruto/Bleach here.
We will probably have at least another 500 chapters. There's about 52 weeks per year. Count 12 weeks for Oda to rest, that leaves 40 manga chapters per year.
12 more years. Am gonna have grandchildren when One Piece ends.
Easily at this pace, but I kind of hope so as long as his health holds. He keeps things entertaining. He can take 20+ more years no problem if he wants to. I'll read it. It would only suck if something bad happens to him and he can't finish his master piece. Many other Mangakas who experience similar face don't make subsequent mangas that are as popular. It's probably safe to say One Piece will be his most lasting and best work. If he can keep us entertained for another 20 years good for him.
