I say "probably" because the poor translations do not help to confirm this.
I'm sure Netero kept tabs to some extent on his own son and his own zodiac members.
Just wanted to throw out http://imgur.com/71ocYDM as a picture of some Zodiacs in battle-ready pose
From chapter 321, the organising the voting. Mizai has a card out, Saiyuu appears to have a long pole/axe thing, I'd guess the long snake is Geru's and Ginta's default battle-stance is to sit in the way.
Also, I want to throw out Ginta's name as a possible traitor, mainly because Hisoka rated him the highest of the Zodiacs he ranked and when it does descend into a battle royale I don't think there will be any pushovers...

Hrm. I don't think Gyro is going to show up in this arc even unless they start focusing on Meteor City at some point, but that's just my speculation.
Saiyu being the mole isn't surprising, though I wonder how accurate Kurapika is and if there is there are multiple moles in the association that Mizai and Kurapika aren't aware of. Just simply using his dousing chain and finding the mole seems too easy for me, I guess.
The sibling rivalry with the princes is an interesting addition--that one guy looks like a beast and Hoicoro looks like a conniving bastard.
Everybody knows about the DC now, If Gyro doesn't act I will be really surprised. The problem is what Gyro's apparition will entail. He is connected to Meteor City, Gon and Welfin, the Troupe should be normally interested in the DC, especially now that Feitan is the boss, with the whole association thing, Shalnark can go on the boat without problems, the Troupe is not necessarily evil so they can be hired by the Princes and help. They didn't try to pass the exam at least.
Now that I think about it we didn't learn much about Pariston's army.
How will they deal with this when Kurapika will discuss with Mizai, IMO the most logical approach would be to deal with him before the trip, Mizai said too much
and I want Kanzai to fight him. But considering that this volume seems to be focused only on the preparations, it's hard to imagine too much action.
Hopefully in the next chapter more of the Zodiacs explain their abilities.
I hope Leorio gets more involved with Zodiacs aswell.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall correctly, the consequence for any Hunter who joins Beyond's team or any other faction has not been mentioned. I think the Hunter Association is only "enemies" with Beyond's Expedition team because the HA has been asked by V5 to keep tabs on Beyond's team as to not bring back another disaster.
With that in mind, it is also possible that the reason/s Beyond surrendered himself to the HA was because:
1) He does not consider the HA that is father left to be competent enough to stop him.
2) There is a mole and he is confident that the mole and his expedition team will be able to extract him from his confinement.
3) His experience with DC tells him that the HA will have to ask his help sometime. Recall that Ging commented that Beyond's expedition team consist of specialists with specific abilities for the DC. This would ultimately mean that there really is no mole but the reason that someone from the Zodiacs will free him is because they need his help.
Well there are lots of possible developments considering Togashi likes to play mind games.
I am somewhat surprised at how the whole prince thing has turned out. Its way better than what I thought it would be like. When we first saw the prince it kinda seemed like he would be some pompous twat with a weird hobby however as it turns out he is quite a bit more than that. Well, he is a pompous twat with a weird hobby but he is also cunning (apparently) and there is a pretty strong chance he is a powerful fighter. He seems to have the physique for it and his brother also seems to have some power to speak of. Of course, killing a lion is not something that would have been difficult for the gang back at the hunter exam events but it was definitely proof that he has beyond ordinary human capacities. Mix in that conflict with kurapica's plans and we have quite the melting pot so to speak. I wouldn't even be surprised if kurapica can't win against that guy in a battle at this point. It would be interesting if it all comes down to kurapica working with a prince to steal the throne from the one that has the eyes of his relatives.

It never happened... Feitan is one of the original members, thats for sure. Isn't Chrollo back with the troupe now? I'm pretty sure that Nen Exorcist already took care of him.... the troupe found him a long ass time ago.
^^ They decided the temporary leader would be the one to kill the Queen AKA Zazan, it's Feitan who killed her.
Ah thats right.... I had thought that was just who gets to be the temp leader for the day lol. It must not matter too much who the temp leader is since they didnt create one before they went and fought the ants.
Is there any indication that Chrollo is even back with the troupe? The last arc indicated that he's healed, but it seemed like Hisoka was still chasing him.
The troupe having interest in the DC would be unsurprising and welcoming. Kurapika already has conflict with Hoicoro, and he would have others there to direct his rage against. In fact, I could see Hoicoro hiring them to help out after his boat lands.
So let me get this straight...Kurapikas Dowsing Chain works by picking up on minute movements in those he's looking at. At least that's his theory, but if that's the case then it's not just 'nen magic' that discerns truth or lies. That would make it evidence for the 'Nen works based on what the user believes - not what is objectively 'true'' in that line of argument ?!
So There are 3 organizations vying for power in the journey to the dark continent. Kakin princes (14 of them !), hunter organization, and beyonds group. The hunter exam was used to help select powerful ( also trustworthy ?!) nen users to travel and aid the hunter organization in the dark continent !
Tserreidnich managed to sneak 5 bodyguards past kurapika and mizastroms lie detection. Pariston(working for Beyond) managed to sneak no one past kurapika and mizastroms detection but they already had monkey working for them from the beginning !
Theories: I think the hunter organization is focusing so hard on beyond that the princes are gonna fuck their day up. I have a feeling Tsereidnich is aware of kurapika and is tattooing the woman with a spider tattoo to agitate and throw him off. Also, Every organization is so worried about the other 2 factions and none are going over plans for the actual dark continent. I think all the conspiracies and espionage will go out the window and at least 2 of these factions (Probably Beyond and Zodiacs) will be forced to join up !
