^Didn't keith say that they knew he was after their lives???
Yep, like many said Gray would gain Ice demon slayer magic. Finally he (like Lucy) got a power-up

With the way fights have been, it becomes hectic to establish the faily tail power levels. I mean, who is stronger than who when they seeming fight the same level of characters at almost same level of difficulty?

Is there any chance that igneel was turned to E.E.N.D?
I guess with the play of letters by error, it somehow gives a "connection" to relate it to Juvia, who is a water mage. She is also entrusted by Silver to watch over Gray. She is not just a goddess of water but also a guardian of love now.
In regard to Gray's new magic skill, I think why it felt like Gray has magically received it was because the process of the impartation was not shown. When I read the last page of the chapter, there is a narrative statement that says, "After a long time, the father's soul and magic are carved into his son's body..." which gave me a "tinkle". That would mean that what we saw was the final result of Gray with his new skill (the tattoo on the arm). How did the father "give" his soul and magic to his son? Nobody knows and maybe not even the author. Maybe he knows but he may deem it unnecessary to tell it to the readers since the main focus was on the "reunion and reconciliation of father and son, and a father's blessing to his son and future daughter-in-law". Perhaps the author may explain it later, but ... who knows?
On the other hand, the words can also mean that the father and son's final reunion after a long period of separation. It was almost like the whole life time of Gray's. But to a parent who misses his/her child, one day may even seem like forever. For the father to be able to "live inside" his son would probably be the best gift that Gray has ever received. From now on, whenever Gray uses the Ice Devil Slaying magic, it would be as if it is his father who is fighting along side with him and supporting him silently.
Even then there is manga logic to consider, natsu is the main character along with lucy so there roles are far more important then others. Also lets be honest here, natsu being a dragon slayer should have the ability to kill and slay a dragon but that in the previous dragon arc never happened. This means one of two things, one natsu has never and i mean never unleashed his entire strength at all. When the dragon king acalognia attacked fariy tail he wasn't even trying and we know from future rogue he was too much even for him to handle, indicating that a dragon slayer's power is far beyond the reach of any other magic in the world of fairy tail. Also zeref has already said that other then END or natsu no one else will get to him so Gray is already out of the picture. What surprises me is why hiro doesn't show gajeel and natsu in their real dragon slayer's mode and why they there abilities have become so downgraded as the series progress, where the hell did laxus end up as well? I mean lets be honest the power of a dragon slayer in this series is equivalent to marvel's strongest character hulk or the greek god zeus or the level of satan himself so why the hell are these dragonslayers being pushed around so much by these two pint half weak demons.
The reason i rant in this fashion is because if igneel had fought END before and couldn't beat him that means at best he must have tied or equaled him in other words his power rivalled END otherwise igneel wouldnt have bothered fighting him, so why is natsu and gajeel having so much trouble.
also a person's greatest power are his emotions if he/she truly loves or cares for someone it is not implaussible that they can't do the impossible. Juvia is not a weak character, just really in love with gray and so this makes sense.
anyways my point is simply dragonslayers should do far more destruction and beat downs then this heck even lucy's spirit king key did more damage and action and freaked the hell out of everyone within 2-3 pages and these dragonslayers are kind of pathetic on that note. If i was igneel, i would be SEVERELY and I MEAN SEVERELY disappointed by natsu's pathetic power level
Idgaf what anyone says: I'm 100% for Gray having access to Devil Slayer Magic. His power up has been long overdue and I've always felt a certain way about his powers ever since we saw that Lyon could create animated ice objects.
I'm not too keen on how he got the power up though but that's another discussion. I'm not even all that upset about it to be honest.
BUT the whole "One Use Amazing Tattoo Power" is quite possible -- even though it would piss me off to no end. While we don't know EVERYTHING about Devil Slayer Magic (outside from the obvious), we have seen how magic imbued tattoo can grant a user temporary usage of a certain kind of magic. MechR references these instances in his post that I quoted.
Yet Silver seemed to be pretty..confident in his statement regarding passing down his powers to Gray. Kind of a "I worked hard so you could benefit from my efforts. Go forth and destroy" type of thing. We all know that if this a one use attack that it's going to fail miserably. Is that even up for discussion? Is anyone going to argue that Gray could possibly beat E.N.D. (Flame Demon) with a one-use mega ice attack? It might stall E.N.D but it's not going to end him (heh).
I'm hoping it's permanent. I'm hoping that powers can be transferred permanently this way but I am open to the fact that it wont be the case.
I really hope Gray's power is permanent also. Between Natsu's LFD, Erza's second origin, and Lucy's recent summoning of the Celestial King, it's Gray's turn to receive a power up as well. Lucy and Natsu are main characters, but Erza and Gray are at the least secondary main characters of the series.
Overall, I enjoyed the last few chapters. I feel like we saw more of Gray's past, and we know Juvia's going to be there for him after all is said and done. Through this, I also have grown to like Juvia's character more.
Well, I guess this pretty much confirms it: Natsu is END.
A flame demon.
PS: Juvia vs Keith sucked sooooo bad...
When the chapter ends with an "answer" telling readers that E.N.D. is a flame demon, anyone would suspect or speculate (and maybe expect) the aforesaid Being to be related to fire. Perhaps the hint is really obvious that it has something to do with Igneel since it is a Fire Dragon and a Flame Dragon King, and is also a foster father of Natsu. Perhaps it may even be related to Natsu, since he is the Fire Dragon Slayer who is related to Igneel.
So who is E.N.D?
Juvia's fight was epic, also when Atlas Flame met Natsu he said something about Igneel being the strongest fire dragon, whatever this END guy is, he must be on a whole other level to trump the supposed flame king or whatever the title was. i'm just praying for Natsu not to be End
