Still no additional infos/leaks about this light novel by the way?
Notice I said "When in that thread..." meaning the *anime* thread.
Right now all I can find on the "Queen of the Isolated City" novel is this ANN article.
Attack on titan ending in 3-4 years. interview from Isayama editor small summary.
Points of interests
They plan to end the series in 3-4 years.
(T/N: In a previous Q&A session with editor, he mentioned that
“Isayama wants to end snk within 25 volumes”. Do your own math)
Editor and Isayama meet up at the start of the month for 7-10 days to discuss the storyboard.
The storyboard is rough sketches for the manga.
Isayama works on the storyboard at Kodansha.
Despite being popular, Isayama is still very humble.
(T/N: He also mentioned the same thing in this interview)
"They are done with the foreshadowing".
Isayama said the next step is "steering the story towards the ending, and solving all the mysteries".
None of mysteries he finds interesting ever since serialization started have been solved yet.
Please look forward to it.
your link doesn't work.
Here's the original post of the person who translated it.
he extended it? I remember a while ago he said he wanted to end it in 20 volumes.
Thank you for the link! I remembered that he wanted to end it in 20 volumes as well, kind of glad that he actually decided to extend it. Hopefully he doesn't drag it too long though.
"The last of the "giants of march" says "as their own, three years after" the author."
So according to original author of SnK manga, Hajime Isayama, SNK manga will end in 3 years. The last volume will be volume 20.
And we will now spend three years picking apart that quote trying to figure out what it means. Lets get started.
Sorry if anybody already mentioned it, in the case you don't know
First thing come to my mind : WTF is this sh*t!!! Did Isayama try to trooll us!?

Interesting. Further evidence Isayama doesn't like to apply (binary) genders to SNK characters, period. So I think with this answer he's basically re-opening Armin's gender for reader interpretation.
he also said titans smell like spa. this man gives no fucks
I kind of assumed Titans smelled a lot worse. They've been running around naked in the dirt for a century, and yet they smell like lovely scent sticks.
Maybe the Titans actual purpose is to just be giant air fresheners. Who knows?
btw Isayama said titans smell like a "spa town" apparently. Towns set amidst hot springs, are NOT perfume-y. They have a rotten egg-like sulphur smell. Once you get hooked on them you look forward to the smell too (seriously, I love it), but it still isn't some perfume-y type thing. The first time or two you go, it can be rather overwhelming. (Also depends on the level of sulphur present in the region you're going to the onsen though.)
