So, we have 14 chosen MSers, but one slot won't be used cause Ryoga took Ryoma to join the US camp.
Let's suppose that Ryoma will join the US team and that Tezuka will join the German team. The foreigners like Krauser that are in the camp will also count as a possible choice.
Remember that Kabaji was kicked from camp, so he is not in the list.
Who would you pick for Ryoma's place?

Since Ryoma is definitely meant to play singles, I'd probably replace him with another singles player. The coaches also seem to prioritize people that have already had a match, pretty much regardless of how it went exactly, so I'd go with one of the following:
-Inui if there's a lot of data on the MS divisions of the other countries.
-Krauser for potential. With some mental training he'd probably improve a lot and there's still some time before the WC.
-Yanagi as safe choice.
Chitose and Tachibana are probably above those three, but since they've only played doubles I don't think they're realistic choices.
My mind tells me that Yanagi or Krauser should be chosen, but my heart calls for Golden Pair.
I really don't see a good reason to put Oishi in the WC with his current state. It could be a hint that the Golden Pair will be reunited with an upgrade direct from Konomi's ass. Niou can play doubles with someone else.
They have to train before the WC and they will evolve off-panel. I can dream a bit.
He needs to play.
Or maybe Mizuki as the squad lacks a data player.
Anyway, I think Momoshiro & Tachibana are the strongest players left out.
Momoshiro would be my pick, for his Black Jack Knife and insight. He can be a skilled player in both Singles and Doubles.
It was hard not to vote for Sengoku...
So hard that I did it anyway.
If I had to give that spot to anyone, in terms of strenght, I would give it to one of the WoK, Momo, Yanagi or Kaidou.
If I had to give it to someone that I want to see getting developed, I would give it to Jirou, Sengoku, Kikumaru or Yuushi.
Zaizen will never play a match, I really don't care about him lol.
I think and hope Ryoma will end up playing for the Japan team, so hopefully no one get replace.
If I have to pick 1, Momoshiro or Kaidoh. Momoshiro because he get an insanely strong move. And Kaidoh because I want to see him surpass Momoshiro so we could why he is Seigaku captain next year instead of Momoshiro.
WoK are cool and all, but I rather they be there as a pair or not be there at all. Yanagi get own hard by #17. So it's hard for me to justify him getting a spot.
Well, it's not like anyone in the list except for WoK
, the almighty Sengokuand Momo would have a chance against him either. In fact, the only one I can see besting Mitsuya without a doubt is Chitose.
Also, this is prolly a shot in the dark (and completely biased) but I think Yanagi's last match will be against Kirihara, and it will happen soon (unless we get a timeskip and we see Data Pair reunited or something).
I actually don't remember anything about Momoshiro being too soft? I think it's probably non-canon?
I read again the last chapter, and indeed nothing is said.
IIRC in the anime there's a scene where Momo is being a cool guy, the ¨1st year trio¨ say he wasn't picked because he was too soft or something like that, and then Kaidou appears out of nowhere and sends them to run laps, lol.
I want to see him play in the big leagues against someone hyped to be really good. He has had nothing at all so far and he's overdue for a match. I also don't like how there's like only atobe from hyoutei. Yuushi is supposed to be their resident genius and he never plays against the top players. In pair puri sa nada even said that he had skill.
I find Yushi to be the "looks strong" type but doesn't actually win often.
Which is why I want him to be placed. He needs the development. We know that konomi to an extent bases his decisions on character popularity. Yuushi is one of the most popular characters in the series looking from the polls. He even got his pair puri volume. I also want to see his 1000 techniques. They're very possible and not overly crazy.
Welcome to the SPoT side of MH iceemperor
I agree I guess it would be nice to see Oshitari Yushi do something noteworthy in SPoT. I mean even Kenya got to challenge the No.18/19 and pointlessly wear the badge since he isn't even going to play Overseas despite his win. And Kenya didn't even get to flaunt his Speed ability in that match he got pretty contained.
Whereas Yushi hasn't done anything relevant in the series.
(I seriously don't want any smart-ass to mention defeating Mukahi to stay in the Winners part of the camp is something relevant)
