Karakuri came before Naruto, and many of it's elements were used in Naruto.
I'll say this:
If Kishimoto gets rid of the entire Rikodu Sennin, Bijuu-Mode and Hax-eyes abilities concepts, I might give Naruto the benefit of the doubt with another story arc or a time skip. Also he would need to definately get to the core of the Sasuke situation, since he killed innocent people and the 6th Hokage but is right now striving to become Hokage.
If we get back to Shinobi being Shinobi and using strategies in the fights, then the series could continue, otherwise I'd rather have it end.
He also did a one-shot called Mario for Jump Square. It also wasn't a pilot, but rather a finished manuscript for a seinen yakuza manga that he started working on back in the early days of Naruto, but had never finished. When they asked him to do a one-shot, he chose to remake and finish it.
The last manga was the worst. Kaguya was defeated that easily o_O
If Naruto doesn't become Hokage WE RIOT!

Secondly, I have a feeling that we will soon see a Naruto anime series.
A lot of series are concluding now or within the next year. Naruto, Claymore, Kenichi. Fiary Tail and Bleach have less than a year each. What will people read in 2015?
Because the final dark guild is down to 2 people and Ichigo has to beat his grandpa and series is over. Arancar zombies. Need I say more?
Pretty sure the 7 years timeskip would mark the halfway point at most (which means the 7 years timeskip probably is way before the halfway point).
Bleach is the only one in that list that could end in 2015. Naruto ends in 2014.
Naruto is ending alright.
Bleach is too
FT has gotten to the climactic stage that would conclude the story (Finally, Natsu's about to unleash his full Dragon powers)
I haven't read Claymore in years so I've got no clue
One Piece is an adventure that doesn't feel like it has a conclusion lol (even though I also haven't read it in 2-3 years).
Kenichi, like Naruto is ending
At this rate, I'm gonna have little to read as they're all ending within the same time period (Is there any reason for this?)
