Not a very well known manga, but has a lot of potential to it.
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Supernatural, Historical
Serialization: Monthly Comic Zero Sum
Mangaka: Shinobu Takayama
Original run: 2005-present
Tokidoki is a Japanese high school student who, when he fails his history class, is sent to a high-tech history museum that virtually recreates the Edo period to do make-up work. However, what was supposed to be a simple school project becomes much more complicated when he's attacked by two supernatural beings known as "the nue" and "the yakou" and loses the vision in his left eye. After he's saved from the nue by a girl named Kuchiha, he realizes that he's no longer wearing the simulation goggles, and is trapped in the virtual Edo.

You can read the translation scripts for chapter 1-36 [here].
Added in the translation link to the top post.
Downloaded the new chapters yet?? I haven't found 37-39 yet, I'll keep trying.
I have all chapter that were released up to now in the internet: so 1-36 and 40-45. But I really can't find 37-39 anywhere. >_<
They are all RAWs though aren't they?? I'm talking about scanlations. Just read 23-27, Bonten was really different when he was younger, and his real name is really cool as well.
Yup, I have chapter 1-27 as scanlation... and the rest, except for 37-39, as RAW.
Yeah, Bonten/Hiwa is quite awesome. I just wonder who the little boy was he saw after facing Toki a second time and when he refused to lift the curse of Ginshu. This hospitalized boy I mean who was grinning at Bonten with this evil smile and when somebody, maybe even the boy, said: "A bird in a cage can't fly."
I wonder if this might be Bonten because he also knows about human brains and computer....
And somebody who was born in Amatsuki does not normally know about computers.

37-39. Not 37-37.
What chapter was that in??? I can't seem to remember about that.
Maybe it's the *other* Bonten, like the one living in the real world, then Bonten happens to know about. I'm still curious about what is happening in the real world, they seem to stopped showing what's happening over there.
Thanks, I changed the number to 39. XD
He appears in chapter 13 in volume 2. I agree, I think it's the RealWorld!Bonten. I mean, if you're hospitalized, and this kid really looks like it, you're not really free, are you?
Now that I've seen the scene again, it really does confirm that it is the RealWorld!Bonten, in my own opinion. The hair looks the same, even that smirk looks like Amatsuki!Bonten's.
What do you think??
There are similarities. Especially the smirk, yeah.
Another thing that came to my mind is what someone said in the real world. About.... the control over forgot-what-it-was... a program or so. it was said that the root lies somewhere in a hospital.
Arghs~~~ I can't really remember but a hospital was certainly in discussion.
Ehh.... I need to re-read Amatsuki, my memories are really hazy right now.
I wish I could read chapter 37-39 because I somehow don't understand anything concerning the latest chapters...
Is Byakuroku back now or is it just something Toki dreams? Why is he in prison, why is Bonten asleep and so on and so on...
....I haven't read up to there yet. I'm still only up to 27, cause I read scanlations.
Oh, okay ^___^
Then, I did not say anything :X
I sometimes have the feeling that rather Ginshu and Bonten are the main characters -not that this is something bad- than Toki and Kuchiha's importance seems to go down, too. xD
Nyahaha, I just order the Amatsuki Artbook online. I hope I will get it soon. It was still in the pre-order-list although it's already out in Japan. From what I've heard, it shall be a good and very beautiful artbook. I really love Takayama Shinobui-sensei's artworks. They are absolutely wonderful and the coloring is fabulous.
