Okay, so this is bugging me. I saw someone comment about Sakura being worthless, and I tend to agree to an extent, but I still prefer her to all the other females in the series, so I’m wondering if she will ever get some quality training from Kakashi?
Supposedly Kakashi and Sakura are going to get some plot time in the upcoming chapters, so I’m wondering if Kakashi will teach her genjutsu or something. It seems like they really needn’t have bothered mentioning her talent for genjutsu on various occasions if it were not going to be expanded upon in the future.
What do you guys think? What kind of plot twist could make Kakashi spend some quality time with his female student?
I’m personally rooting for Naruto getting nabbed by Pein or Madara, leaving the last members of Kakashi Team to get him back. I could actually picture Kakashi, Sakura, Sai, and Yamoto or someone like Shikamaru going to rescue him (actually I could see all of the characters going to rescue him, but it seems too good to be true), but that doesn’t really leave room for training…so…
Maybe, like, if Tsunade were to die?
Or am I just wishful thinking about Sakura actually getting some quality time?
*sigh* I hope they make her do something cool at some point. There’s no reason why she should suck.

To be honest I dont think sakura is even remotely useless. Personaly I think she is a very talented shinobi and kishi has done a great job developing her.
1.- Excelent healer.
2.- Better at dealing with poisons than ANYONE AND EVERYONE in the sand. Not even chiyo could cure sasoris poison.
3.- Insane strength and combat capacity. I would rather face yamamoto's bankai than angry sakura lol.
4.- She was trained by tsunade, one of the main reasons I believe she will reach the kage level. Good teachers produce good students (burn hinata fans lol).
5.- In the databooks she had overall higher stats than most members of the konoha rookies. I dont think this nesesarily mean she can beat all of them in battle but it counts for something.
the thing I don't get is that kakashi keeps calling her a genjutsu type, but she's getting trained in taijutsu and healing...shouldn't kurenai or kakashi be giving her some genjutsu lessons?
I think kakashi meant that she didnt use to be so good a phisical combat, which is why she was the type to avoid it and use her high chakra control and intelligence for genjutsu.
This might be one of kakashi's flaws as a teacher, since he said that based on what sakura was able to do when she was 12 years old. He apparently never considered sakura could improve in other areas and was surprised at what sakura did at the beggining of part 2.
On the other hand kakashi might not have been the proper teacher for sakura from the start considering that it would be completely imposible for kakashi to get the results tsunade got when training sakura.
Personally i really didn't like sakura pre-time skip then in part 2 i had new found respect for her, but with current events i feel like she is going to revert back to her cheerleader like status as her only offensive speciality is now about to be dwarfed by naruto thanks to his new training. I am hoping kakashi will spend some time to train sakura as he has with naruto and sasuke. So that she will learn something to throw into the mix, i don't see it being gen as sasuke already excels at that so a personalised ninjutsu would be nice. Unfortunately the only way i see sakura getting trained by kakashi is if an encounter occurs with an enemy and naruto loses or barely wins and kakashi realises that naruto alone may not be enough for all the future battles or an enemy specifically targets sakura for some unknown reason.
Although it is highly unlikely that she will ever learn it, I have often thought that Sakura (or even Tsunade) could or should add the Rasengan to their repertoire. That jutsu is purely about chakra control, an area in which Sakura and Tsunade are said to excel. It is a shame that Jiraiya, Naruto, and Kakashi never taught it to either of them. (Well, it is a possibility that Tsunade might know it, but I doubt it.)
Anyway, although Kishimoto promised development for both Sakura and Kakashi, I doubt that their development will result in training sessions between the two of them. Kakashi has always shown very little interest in focusing on Sakura, and I doubt at the Sakura's current level of jutsu specialty (medical ninjutsu) that Kakashi will suddenly start to get involved. Whatever future development Sakura gets will most probably come from Tsunade, (less likely) Shizune, or (less likely still) some other kunoichi like Kurenai.
Well, Sakura and Kakashi are allegedly supposed to get some good panel time this year. Although it would seem Sasuke has hogged the majority of the year, as I predicted. If it were to happen, I expect a major upgrade for Sakura. Which, depending on how you look at it, would be a very good thing for the story.
I for one am tired of the whole story being about Sasuke, and Naruto's many failed attempts at playing catchup. The onset of Part II was very refreshing; no Sasuke, Sakura being a total badass, etc. I want that again :'(
Not only has Kakashi mentioned her aptitude for genjutsu, but Sasuke as well. Remember during the first chuunin test when they went to the room? Sasuke noted that Sakura must have seen that it was the wrong room first. She's naturally good at recognizing and dispelling genjutsu. SO yeah, she SHOULD get some lessons in genjutsu, and I'm all for Kakashi as opposed to Kurenai because Kakashi's genjutsu ability most likely trumps Kurenais, AND Kakashi was supposed to be her teacher!! GAH! I HATE IT!! WHY?!? Oh sorry...lol

I think Team7 trained every day, but we only saw Naruto's special training shown onscreen. (with the exception of the few bits of the Chidori's training, which was the reason Naruto wasn't trained by Kakashi).
Sakura wasn't trained during the chuunin exam because she wasn't concerned (and it was before she became really motivated) nor during the Rasengan arc because Kakashi was in coma. The rest of the time, she trains as much and as well as the others. When Kakashi trains Naruto solo, she trains with Tsunade. Simple as that.

Sakura has no need of Kakashi's training now. She is Tsunade's apprentice, so it should be Tsunade doing the training. Besides Kakashi isn't really a genjutsu type, medical nin, or great at using strength to his advantage in taijutsu. I would like to see Sakura power up a little more though.
I still bear quite a grudge against Kakashi as a character for not spending much time at all on Sakura or Naruto at all in part 1. Choosing instead to spend so much time on Sasuke. Worst of all when Sasuke was obviously losing his mind, and he knew Orochimaru was after him, Kakashi just sent him on his way. Which ended up forcing Naruto to try and clean up his teachers mess. But i suppose all that is a different matter and i can't really pin this Sakura thing on him.
Hahahaha! True true. Now it's time for him to teach her some more, wouldn't you agree?
That's why I asked if Tsunade's death might cause him to train Sakura. But really, if he was to train her to manipulate an element it would be good too, yeah? I could see Sakura being an earth type or something.
As far as part one goes, I guess the argument to the contrary would be that Kakahsi chose to train Sasuke because he was the one most like him. Also, Sasuke was preparing for a fight with Gaara, the psycho killer. What else could KAkahsi do? He didn't really have much time after that to train any of them since Naruto left with Jiraiya and Sakura went to Tsunade for help as opposed to him, whereby he resumed his own solo training and was busy with missions...I guess. But that is why I want so badly for them to work together now. They need to build a stronger bond or something.

alot of females in the series are medical nins , and medical nins importance arent emphasised in the series (but in an army they are just as important as a front line soldier), sakura is overshadowed by sasuke (full haxs) and naruto (chakra cheat).
and kishi seems to never give females some decent panel time, so in the end we see sakura bein useless compared to sasuke or naruto (who has 90% and 9% panel time respectiveli)
Here's the thing too, Kabuto is a medic-nin too, and he sort of kicks ass in a fight, so there's no reason why Sakura can't too!! SHANNARO!! Just because she can heal people doesn't mean she shouldn't develope her ninja arts. She needs to surpass Tsunade, not be stuck below her. *huff*
Kakashi needs to represent and spend some time helping her surpass her limits.
It's kind of disappointing. I really like Naruto female characters, they are just awesome, but why Kishimoto don't give them more show time? The only episode where Sakura was a main star was "Save Gaara" arc. And some Kakashi and Sakura interaction would be so interesting. xP
