Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is an upcoming scheduled crossover fighting game from Midway Games in the Mortal Kombat series, kinda like Marvel vs Capcom, which will be released on November 16, 2008. The game will contain characters from both the Mortal Kombat franchise and the DC Comics Universe. The game is being developed using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 and the release has been announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
Mortal Kombat characters
DC Comics characters
It has been announced that the game will feature a story mode, playable from two different perspectives, one from the DC side, and one from the Mortal Kombat side, and depending on which side players choose, they will see the characters from the opposite universe as the invaders of their own
It looks pretty sick and I love both franchises so its a must buy for me.

its clear to me that some people (most of my friends) simply throw this game out because of the concept of these two universes coming together. But it actually does look good, the gameplay still sticks to mk so I don't see the problem.
^I don't understand ur friends, if they are truly MK fans and/or DC fans then this game is a dream come true. Especially if they are into games like Marvel vs Capcom or Soul Caliber. Soul Caliber has brought opponents from different universes like Darth Vader, Yodi and Spawn and that worked out just fine.
Is it going to feature fatalities? How weird would it be for Liu Kang to transform into a dragon and chop Green Lantern in half
Ya it is for all the MK characters and the DC Universe villains. The good DC characters wont have fatalities cause they dont kill people, instead they will have other finishers like Brutality.
Seems to be an excellent game!
Jugding for the gameplay, I'd say it has the same concepts of the three previous MKs, which is a good thing;
The DC characters, man, how I've missed them in a good game, but now, fighting among the MK characters, almost a dream ^^
I think my only complain is regarding the characters: only 22... But well, if they will weel developed like MK deception chars, it's good enough...
I personally think the CD characters fit better into the Marvel vs Capcom area....the whole 'dark violent' think I think fits with Marvel a lot better you know? They should just make Marvel Vs. Capcom Vs DC. I'd buy that in a heart beat. I also don't like 3d fighters that much
^Marvel and DC collaberating, that would be awesome but they would fight over whos stronger than who.
Thats gonna be awesome,even tho it has been done with M.U.G.E.N. Im looking forward play this game.
US have a censored version ...LOL
^ what do u mean, less blood, no heads flying. Dammit, why. Its ok, as long as I could kill Sub-Zero with the Flash Im fine
Has anyone bought the game yet, I havent. I dont have the time and I still have to find the time to beat Naruto Storm then ill go buyy it. But everyone Ive talked to said it's good
OK, guys, I've bought the game, and I can say to you, the game is great and addicting;
I think the gameplay is way more fluid than the previous MKs, and even though the character roster isn't huge, the characters are well belanced, and they have more moves when comparing with the previos MKs, again;
I've seen so much criticism about this game, and definitely, I won't trust in reviewers anymore, because so many games they claimed to be bad, but still I enjoyed these games and was having a fun time with them, like for example (Infinite Undiscovery).
