Well what makes you think that the Organization does not protect the island from the outside? I mean that even if the dragonkind do invade, its not like the organizations and its masters are gonna sit around twiddling thumbs; they wanna protect their research for sure. So the point 2 is still not very logical. On the other hand, I'd say that if the Abyssal ones and ghosts become a temporary ally of the organization, then the dragonkind may attack since the combined powers of ghosts+abyssal ones would be too much of a threat. I do agree on one count though that the ghosts and abyssals would never go with the organization, unless there's a greater common threat to all.
Sorry for breaking the discussion, but why aren't there any decent releases of Claymore with jap->en instead of jap->chn->en translation? What's with Binktopia or Whatever?
missing japanese scan ...
only scans out on the web are HQ chinese scanlation, so they are used to make english scanlations.
if you have a japanese friend buying the magazine, feel free to convince him to also buy a scanner
Meh. I can't tell the difference anyway. As long as its in English, its fine by me.
The Translation is the difference, the translation of the japanese script is more accurate than the trans of the chinese script, shrimpy does a very well job translating the jap. scripts, so it is much better, when the scanlators wait for shrimpy's trans, instead of rushing their scans with the chinese scanlation.
The latest chapter of Claymore is out. Get it here.
After reading the chapter, please discuss here your thoughts on the events of chapter 85 and your predictions for chapter 86.

i have added the jap-eng version..
please refer to ver2
It is up on at mangatraders, but you need an account to dowload it. Accounts are free. You could also read it online at onemanga, which i prefer to do.
I have to say that this isn't one of my favourite chapters. It was nice to see the development of Deneve and Helen, but he picked the most awkward time to insert it. Clare, Tabitha and Yuma were just starting to move on Rubel's information.
The good thing about switching scenes is that after quite a few chapters of talking, we got some action. Dietrich is my favourite character of the new generation so far; very interesting personality wise. Although she did confuse me quite a bit. If she's number 8, she certainly seems to make numbers 3 and 5 look bad. She may not have been fighting as tough of an opponent, but she appeared better.
When Deneve reminded Helen of their AB hunt with Clare, it made me think that Dietrich is like Miria. A leader type person who is fairly strong and perceptive, but lacks just enough strength to be completely effective (old Miria). I can't believe she fell for the special assignment remark, though... or did she?
Maybe she has seen Alicia and Beth so the black outfits aren't completely out of whack with being a (special?) claymore?
Oh, that's probably it since audrey and #5 (forget her name) knew about Alicia and Beth. good point
Well I once commented (in the mega-convo thread I believe) that Helen's arm-stretching ability required youki emission and thus is now impossible... Guess this chapter proves me wrong, which probably means that it doesn't need youki.
"This one isn't fun at all," haha, Helen cracks me up.
I guess Dietrich doesn't have much reason to doubt what Helen says tho, she could just be a loyal soldier who doesn't ask questions. She knew they were, more or less, on her side. After all, how many enemies of the claymores on this island run around wielding claymores? She should have noticed that they don't emit any youki tho, shouldn't have sensed them coming at all. That's sort of out of the ordinary, so I would at least expect a remark. But hey, maybe she's just the type who accept things as they are, and, again, doesn't ask questions.
Interesting that Helen & Deneve knew she was a single digit, yet expected to knock her out so easily. Are they underestimating "today's" warriors, or is she just something special?
What Rubel is saying at least makes sense, he knows Clare & Co. would lose against Riful, but even after all that... I don't think they're gonna fight any time soon. I can't imagine any good outcome of them meeting. I think Rafaela & Luciela will awaken and wreck havoc. He darn well better show us this power after hyping us up so much. Maybe Renee will manage to escape. After all, she has to meet up with Clare to tell her about Raki.
But that won't happen next chapter... Helen & Deneve will probably leave Dietrich without much conversation, but we will probably see her again soon... Dietrich was surely introduced for a reason. After all, she had a much more impressive performance than when #3 & #5 were fighting Riful.
Thanks for Your efforts .
