God, why the Shonen Jump doesn't make like Magazine and publish 2 chapters of the same mangá too?
Jump usually give more pages sometimes, it makes more sense within Jump's system than two chapters.
They would do similar thing they do when a manga is on pause or with a color page. And Jump TOC is not a sport competition, Shueisha editors don't have to be fair in the first place.
Jump TOC is a competition, nothing is more important there.
Sometimes I think that Magazine does this only because a matter of numbers of chapters, it would make more sense doubling the number of pages than entitle it "double chapters", but it is my point of view, there must be a unknown reason for this.
I think "Double Chapter" is just Magazine's style of pushing the series; since Magazine is getting kind of hit series lightly, they want to push as much as possible for them.
Btw, UQ HOLDER! chapter 2 has 40 pages or something, aren't these extra pages?
Shounen Magazine going to start a rugby manga, called Hello!!, on Issue 45.
Kokuzawa Yousuke's oneshot to appear this Fall (For anyone interested)
Btw He made Choujin Gakuen
