First of all, I really liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiked~ the anime. It was so freakin' great. One of the best animes out there.
However, when I say anime, I don't mean the ending which sucked. The fact that
Then came the movie:
They both came together, which made it a bit better, but still not good enough. I really hope the manga doesn't end the same way. That would kill me.
Indeed. The manga better not end the same way.
I always found the anime more depressing and serious. Great, but not funny enough. Not enough funny anime faces. Though, seeing Some of those fight scenes animated sure was fun.
WHAT ????? you guys didnt like the ending???? WHAT???
thats the best ending ive ever seen in any anime. EVER! ok i am a cryer, if i watch something really emotional i very easily break out in tears. and that ending made my weep, for many many minutes. i stiil feel a tear when i watch it.
Ah so i guess its like GANTZ, with the anime being cut short like halfway through what the manga is up to now . . .
im still a little confused. . . i used to read the FMA manga at the start.. then the anime attracted my attention . . i got up to around 27 in the manga . . . and the anime i have completed . . which chapter did it begin to differ from the anime?
I think they differ from the beginning.Originally Posted by RevenGz

what? that is probably one of the worst endings ever. It seems like all this work for absolutely nothing. That sentimental bullshit doesnt work. It made everything that happened in the last 50 some odd episodes count for jackshit.
Yes, it basically seems that you either didn't like the ending, or thought it was great. This is true with many stories.
Hence the drama and tragedy!Originally Posted by NeoShweaty

I liked all of the anime (Even dares to say more than the manga, zomg glass dont shoot me ) and the ending was just a bit sad, but it felt kinda "real" to me.
I was frustrated of course, but it was ok, also because at the movie it kinda "corrects" it.. =D
