Anyways, Jump is kicking off 2009 in an awesome way. Two new sports manga (I already like Meister, and I'm hoping the basketball one will be good) and Bokke-san looks interesting. Plus, another Komi one-shot makes me . That issue is before the break right (I mean it goes, #2, #3, #4-5, and then a break) or is it the other way around?
One more question, is it definitely a one shot, or is it a Double Arts omake? Or can omake refer to a one shot as well? I ask because about all I can make out of the text is the word omake.

issue 2 cover
His eyes still bother me, sorry they just look creepy, the guy in the background looks fine though lol.
The uniforms and coloring looks cool, tough...
We'll have to wait and see how's it like =P
Anyway, gotta admit that guy looks creepy =S
He kinda looks like a ghost or demon in human form
But I shouldn't get my hope up on a sports/supernatural-mix manga >.>
To me, it's as if he's blind (rofl)
Anyway, I'm hopeful for at least My Star and Nishi's series... and if Kuroko plays well, we might just hit a successful start of 2009 series! (Though that would mean we'll be needing to making space for them... with cuts here and there )
A blind player - now that would be cool
In basketball? No way.
Maybe some other sport like ping-pong or tennis were the possible explanation could be echolocation... but it doesn't so plausible for basketball.
edit: Seems I was proven wrong, Ben Underwood, a blind teen uses echolocation to "accomplish such feats as running, basketball, rollerblading, playing foosball, playing video games, and skateboarding."

The design of the Kuroko lead...I still keep saying it but...I wouldn't be surprised if he used to be a Matsui assistant from his appearance.
Aside from that, our local football (soccer) club has an event each year where the regular team plays blindfolded against a team of blind players. So, I don't really saw basketball as too far away^^
Buuuuut... that's offtopic. Just found it very interesting to add >.>
