Heh... I was lurking on another forum on a hangout thread and someone posted a picture of manga saying something along the lines of "Man how awesome was that last chapter" the picture he posted looked totally awesome and when someone posted a reply saying something along the lines of "Is that from Psyren?" I assumed that the second guy was right and this was Psyren. And went looking for Psyren on Onemanga and started to read.
BUT as it it turned out the picture I was looking at wasn't from Psyren and the second guy was wrong. So yeah I got into Psyren completely on accident, not that I refreg it, Psyren is a great manga and I really enjoy it.

i started reading when Mx0 ended.....it might also been due to seeing it in the manga a week preview?
Well, I had caught up with all biggest Jump titles and wanted something new, and decided to give Psyren a shot. Nothing special, just browsed through newer Jump series, and it seemed most interesting.
It was one of Weekly Shounen Jumps new series and I usually read all series from WSJ. I started this one when the 2nd scanlation came out.
I wasn't being up-to-date, but around ch10-or-so, I picked it up again and I'm still reading it (though, Psyren had its best time already, imo)
I started reading when chapter 64 came out and am in ch.40 because am reading a lot of manga
I started reading it since it's one of my team's project, and now it's the most anticipated WSJ chapter for me.
I heard that it was really good from 3 people but i thought it was going to be sort of like generic or something so i just read the first chapter and well...couldn't stop.didn't eat.Didn't really do anything else till i was done with every single chapter.
now i am addicted.
I can't tell you how many times I've done that... just sit there are read an entire series through. Most series you can do that with only bathroom breaks. It's somewhat counter-productive though as you get out of the series just as fast as you went into it. It's worth it to savor it and take it slower. You can get more details you might have missed the first time though.
i know it was popular and i wanted a new read, just read from chapter 1 to current last week, sort of a mix between gantz, the matrix and its own unique qualities.
I loved the gritty style it had in the beginning, the way characters just started getting offed left and right along with the realistic adaptations of human fear of the unknown was very appealing. the psychic powers were more interesting when they where mysterious, now they seem more like the paces.
but all in all it suprised me, much better mood and theme in the beginning, but i still like it.
Sounds/looks similar to my favorite horror game; Forbidden Siren. The game came out 4 years before the manga was published.
