Well, Misugi uses the FDS too and the Skydive is an Epic Fail....

Flying Drive was used by Tsubasa, Misugi, Santana, Natureza...
I know that the volley shoot is common, I know how many players performed such or such technique. I took these examples on purpose.
Volley shoot is easy to do, and if it gives you an advantage, you should use it. But it's not like everybody can use it just like that.
Some people in CT used the drive shoot: Tsubasa, Diaz, Misugi, Yumikura, Owairan... It requires more skills, so fewer people can do it, but if it gives them an advantage, they're using it. If everybody was skilled enough, everybody would use it, and it would be considered common.
The Chokkaku feint was Gullit's specialty, but then it was used by Aoi, Tsubasa, and Levin, because it gave them an advantage. If everybody was skilled enough, everybody would use it, and it would be considered common.
It's the same for any other technique. Even if it's considered someone's specialty, even if only one man was skilled enough to perform it so far, if another player is skilled enough to do it, and if it gives him an advantage, he should do it as well. If anybody could perform it, then they should.
Well, you got my point.
Well, I do like the realism of Fantasista. I don't know yet if I continue reading CT just to know how it ends, or if I really do love this mangá. I know it have something to do with the fact that it's a part of my childhood.
Anyway, I do find the art of Captain Tsubasa really lacking these days, and Kurumada's also lacks a lot. For me, it seems a kind of lazy art. They could do better, at least on the proportions.
Anyway, I keep coming every week just to read the rest of the mangá.
Any of you guys watched Inazuma Eleven?
fantasista isn't bad... well i like almost all the soccer mangas out there.
Inazuma Eleven: watched but it got put on hold.
Concerning Kurumada's style, I don't think it's lacking. I don't know who draws the armour of the saints but if it's him, he's amazing.

Yeah, too bad that Inazuma Eleven was put on hold, I wish the Subbers continued working on it, it's a pretty nice anime, not much alike from Captain Tsubasa.
Santa, I'll never forget the drawing from Kurumada of a 6 fingered supporter, or Shun with two left-foots. He is not that good, heh.
