And usually, Akiyama uses evidence besides expressions and body language to figure out what's going on.
First hello, new to this little forum(kinda hard to find), I can't say I participate a lot in others but I follow other series here
the Liar Game, I begin reading sometime ago during Gantz break along with Parasyte, it was the period when I devolep a taste for phycological Mangas...
for me it is one of the best Mangas out there
for current events, in the J-Drama is right now in the same point that is chapter 96 which is unfurtunally not scanlated... but any way in the J-Drama, the main atagonist is a girl (katsuragi) who was a classmate to Akiyama in the college, she looks like some kinda of wizard
So.. new chapter out today...
Yokoya's explanation is kind of lame imo. They can just wait another couple of minutes and the display will show that there is only one infected left. So Nao was allways saying the truth and, therefore can be trusted.
I'm not liking this game so far... it's too... uneventfull.
After catching up with the J-drama, I'm finally all caught up with the manga as well. At this point in the story, the J-drama is ahead of the manga, so I already know what is going to happen next. While I love the manga because it explains things in a more detailed way, I do have to say that I enjoyed some of the events that happened until this point in the game a tad better in the J-drama. The events coming next are awesome and I can’t wait to read them in the manga. I really recommend to all my fellow Liar Game fans to watch the J-drama, some of the things that have happed so far are shown in a cooler way in the J-drama, at least IMHO.
Regarding chapter 96, wow, Yokoya sure is an expert at manipulating people! He knew just what to say to make those three players join his side. He is an incredible fierce and cunning enemy indeed.

I gave up on the J-drama due to not liking how it deviated from the original plot.
i give up on the J-drama mainly because of how ridiculous they made Fukunaga, and because of the plot change.
Too bad, the J-drama looks good. =/
Regarding ch 97, i really love how Nao slowly open Akiyama's heart. My, how much had she grown from the first chapter! i like her more and more now. I am shipping AkiyamaxNao...
4 eyes had a touching story and it's really thanks to Nao that he stayed with Akiyama. I hope there is a double agent working for Akiyama in the other group. With only one more person they can have enough vaccines. I'm also interested in the results of how many people are infected. Akiyama must have some strategy.
nao kanzaki can't win in the current situation
they need another one from yokoya's group for her to get +4.
but the other two who quit the game won't help glasses-san
I have read somewhere that
omg, yokoya got his ass handed to him second time in a row

have you read the latest chapter (99)? Akiyama is awesome as always.
I never would have guessed he will do that!
W8 THIS MIGHT BE A SPOILER to those who haven't read chap 99 yet

so how is this manga? Someone described it to me as Death Note meets Yu-Gi-Oh, but I don't think that would be very accurate lol
Death Note ahhh hate to break it to you but this isn't a manga about a pyscho student who wants to become the god of the world. The biggest similarity is that they both have a genius as a main character. Both fall into the psychological thriller genre. Misa was the sidekick to Light and Akiyamas' sidekick and the true protagonist of Liar Game is Nao. Sorta like Misa, dizzy but can always surprise you with those moments of intellectual thought. 120 chapters in Japan and growing.
Chapter 99 has been out for a long time so I need to read it ASAP.
hmm well honestly i think this is better than DN since DN's target are kids - teens, and this one's(LG) appreciated by teens - oldies i know someone who even reads this at the age of 38.
well this stuff is indescribable XD
"well this stuff is indescribable XD" - this statement is 100% true
So I read ch. 99. *sequels* Akiyama was just amazing in his performance. Telling Nao to continue to run around acting desperately to create vaccines. Making Yokoya to believe they are done for.
I really want to know if the other 3 are in the rooms. They can't be because they still need vaccines. But Akiyama is already safe so he was shown being in the room. Maybe he used the string again but this time locked the door IDK xD.
Yokoya looks like he is having a panic attack. I love these moments where the villain is acting cocky and then a split second the tables are turned.
and Akiyama's shady grin at the end was perfect.
