since there is no discussion on COOKIE, place a question here:
but you know something of Yazawa?
That's uh.... no. Ai Yazawa? No. the WSJ thread's probably not even close to the right place for that, even with the lack of a COOKIE thread. the demographics are different enough that there's not gonna be huge crossover in readers and we're not likely to know much more than anyone else.
I know, and like I said, I know that this is not the right discussion but I have not found it ... (if there is, could you link it to me?)
I just wanted to know if she was alive, since I know almost 3 years that is paused ...
Well, the best place would certainly be the Nana Thread in the Shoujo/Josei Section.
But the truth is, there haven't been any news in the past 2.5 years as far as I know. The latest update came from an exclusive interview with Yazawa 10 months into her hiatus:
As I said, this was an interview with her from May 2010...
- Yazawa is sick (no official statement as to what disease we're talking about) and wants to focus solely on recovering before continuing her series.
- She stated that it was no incurable disease or anything life threatening.
- Thus: As long as she takes her time with the therapy things should be getting better.
- But she also said there's no way she can say when she will feel like coming back (she said, she didn't even grab a pen once after her diagnose)
PS: Maybe a moderator who sees this could move all related postings over to the series thread? Would be better, I guess.
we all just assumed it was some wrist problem, like Carpal Tunnel syndrome or whatever. What artists usually suffer from.
Aside from... mental block, I suppose. :/
I can understand that slow down the outputs, but are now almost three years that does not publish anything ...
we hope you come back soon, or at least we know something more ...
Hello everyone I have just started Nana 2 days ago now I am at the chapter 33 and I love it I am looking forward to discuss with you after I finish it
you can read it as you like, and then, and then...
Man I used to remember how I loved discussions about Takumi- he was the most awesome character IMO. Then Ren, maybe. :/
Who are your favorite characters, btw?
Hmm I can't really say but I will go with Takumi
maybe you might want to elaborate, Krina? ^^
well not sure if this will be a sign of things to come but, yazawa drew a new "junko's room" chapter apperently.
