At first I was hoping that they (any of the main character nowadays... I dunno who those are btw ) faced a super pro opponent that made them thought "oh, we gotta go back to our roots, fancy tricks won't work"... but then Byoudouin's wall destruction gang appeared
Can't go back to their roots, Konomi is in too deep with all the auras and teleporting haha. They follow conventional tennis rules (mostly) so it's all good in the end.
Remembering characters i liked initially (momo, fuji, kamio) that i forgot all about because they sort of fell out of focus (less so for Fuji).
Also never realized how socially awkward ryoma is, I blame Nanjiroh.

Fuji hasn't played in SPoT, and before you say something, no, beating Yuuta doesn't count.
He raped his brother and then got raped by Tezuka, both matches had like 2 panels, that doesn't count Ken
fuji pay for abusing attention during nationals.During this period I felt reading Fuji of tennis !!
Really? I thought Nationals is all about Tezuka is a badass with the healed shoulder. Fuji didn't even play against Hyoutei so Ryoma can face Atobe.
In the end, Ryoma apparently ends up with Sakuno, so I guess it worked out for him. :P

The August SQ cover is somewhat disappointing, to be honest.
Konomi's taking part in the new smartphone special Jump Live issue, which isn't positive news. He needs to be focusing on SPoT.
