I liked continuing about the RJ7..but Hino had a japanese nationality didn't he?
According to the anime, Hino could have gotten the Japanese nationality should he had wanted it (one of his parents is Japanese), but he decided to remain loyal to Uruguay.
Speaking about the RJ7, apparently now there was supposed to be a Real Japan 11 instead of a 7. Interesting (though it kind of looks like that part in Dragon Ball where they were explaining the spybot in the shape of a bug present in every tournament since Goku was a kid and that's why they Dr. Gero knew everything about everyone... new characters in the past...)
Anyways, I like the idea and I still want to see who would the RJ 10 and 11 be. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing Furukawa and Kazami playing against the guys in a practice match or so. Since they are futsal players, they must be really fast and tough (or so I hope ).
Thanx Shinji, for your job. Can't wait for the next one
I found this 'One person, one skill' thing Kira said amusing - If he believes everyone has a skill that nobody else in the camp can surpass him in, he's in for a surprise. I don't think he could have more than 10 players in the camp that fulfill this criteria.
And talk about a big choice in selection ...
- 32 players in the camp at the moment
- 2 unrevealed former RJ7 players
- 5 guys overseas, although I think they're pretty much certain to join the team
- 3 potential over 23 year old players
- Undisclosed number of under-20 guys from the youth team
Shinji did express his wonder nobody had made predictions about which players would be included, so here's my thoughts:
For now, I'm not counting the 3 over 23 players or those who could come from the youth team, since they will join after the preliminaries. That leaves us with 23 slots. I'm pretty sure that all the oversea players will be joining, since Wakabayashi, Tsubasa and Hyuga are the core of the team and I don't think Aoi and Akai were introduced in the world youth only to be excluded now. Similarly, I think all of the four newly introduced former RJ7 members will be playing. That leaves 14 places for those currently in the camp. Here's my list of predictions for those 14:
Wakashimazu - second choice keeper
Misaki - best MF after Tsubasa
Misugi - Libero
Matsuyama - Defence or maybe midfield or offense, with Kira saying he's gonna check out players in different positions
Nitta - 2nd forward
Jito - The only big defender Japan has
Soda - Wingback
Ishizaki - he's playing in the J League and he's got a ton of experience
Urabe - Reserve defender
Yumikura - he was the best in RJ7 along with Hino
Yamada, Morisaki or Nakanishi - as there should be a third choice keeper
Tachibana twins - aerial offense
For the last spot I'm thinking either Izawa, Sano or the liar guy from RJ7
Remember that Tsubasa and the others won't join for now. We have 2 test matches without them.

If the 5 abroad don't join, then in their place:
- Izawa (if he isn't the 14th guy in my previous selection)
- Sano (if he isn't the 14th guy in my previous selection)
- Liar guy from RJ7 (if he isn't the 14th guy in my previous selection)
- Sprinting guy from RJ7
- Defender with the long legs from RJ7
- One more keeper from the group of Nakanishi, Yamada and Morisaki (meaning one of them gets left out)
Imagine a giant DF trio with Nakanishi as a DF, Takasugi and Jito
You're forgetting Furukawa and Kazami to occupy one of the 23 places right? I'm guessing Izawa might make it - after all, he played against World selection (I know that isnt part of manga but still...)....Kick long legs and keeper :S
2 futsal players... now that is interesting...
other thing that i liked was the original RJ11 that ended in the original RJ7 that we all know.
im looking forward to the 2 test matches, but i have a few questions:
-these test matches are against relevant teams?
-will the RJ7 have the same rhythm that the others former Japan representatives have?
-And who will be the captain?
Regarding to the 3rd keeper I really would like to see Nakanishi for this time. I like Morisaki, but we have seen him enough. Michel Yamada, maybe for he has his own skills.
And for the rest, I don't want to see any new guys I like Golden Generation.
Well technically speaking, the "new" guys are also part of the Golden Generation. They just didn't take part in the tournaments we've seen this far
Can't wait for the 3rd chapter. Since the first chapters were already released as far back as the start of the Road to 2002 translations, I had read them and knew what was happening in them. From now on, it's all (well not exactly all) new to me
Of course they're, I know that. What I was trying to say is that: I am Okay with Ken, Genzou, Tarou, Tsubasa, Hikaru, Jun, Souda, Jitou, Aoi, Akai, Ryou, Mamoru, Youzo, Taichi, Kisugi, Taki, Sawada, Kazuki, Sano, Hyuuga and Nitta of course, and my door is closed to the others. That was what I meant by new guys.
