I dont know really how to start that, cause its little bit of a big task I try to accomplish.
And i know myself thats it will be hard.
So my Idea is Simple to get money for the Scanlator/Translators/Scanner.
I want to make a Donation based reward system which is simple and logical.
First; of all, i want to use it that way to get Translators and Scanners to be rewarded and to get more mangas scanlated.
Cause i think they will be more translators even if they only get a small amount of money.
Second; i want to avoid that popular manga are over scanlated (more than 1-2 scanlators on 1 manga) and non-popular a dropped.
To do that is rather simple only 1 team will be rewarded and so they can concentrate on othe projects.
Which team is making which manga can be choosen by votes if more that 1 team wants to do it and if one of the scanlators already has a project the other will be prefered.
third, non group system. We have here some non-group translators and scanners (cnet-128 , finestela , heiji-sama etc) which provieded the scans and trans for the groups. And the groups must "pay" for it, that meens simply from the money they get they give the trans/scan money to them.
If they use a trans/scan from others and dont credit it they will be "blocked" to get money for that thing they stole for their next releases. (that means the wont get the money from trans or scan and the money will be automatically goes to them from them they stole)
Forth, Work with other sites to make as much money u can get.
They are Popular sites like Mangatraders, OneManga , mangafox etc etc which could help with that idea and make ad for it.
We need a trustworthy person who handles the money.
How much will we pay for each scan?
Will we set a certain number or will the donations simple be devided trough the number of projects?
How to we pay? each scanlation? Monthly? or quarter years? (i prefer monthly)
How do we handle older scanlations?
What do we do if the group doesnt release within 2 weeks?
How do we controll the quality of the scans (so they are worth the money)?
Before i get into futher details i want toknow if anyone support the idea here.
ssry for the bad english

This is bullshit.
I don't want to make money with scans at all. We buy our Raws ourselves if we need any, and pay ourselves for our hobby. Get a job if you need money. I'd stop submitting our work here if this became a money-making site.
I think we should reward it that way (lets set max 0,70$ each release for the beginning) that i goes like this.
0,20$ for the Scan (already cleaned raw 0,25$ )
0,25$ for translation
0,15$ for edit (0,12$ if raw already cleaned)
0,05$ for QC
I made the 0,7 Limit cause if u think whe have 200 projects each week.
We have 800 releases a month. We need 560$ each month.
If they have scanlated a whole Volume of a Manga. Each part gets a bonus of 3x more than normal as Bonus.
So lets say a Volume has 12 Chapters...so if they release a whole Volume they get
2,40$ + 0,60$ (or 3,00$ + 0,75$) for the Scans
3,00$ + 0,75$ for the Trans
1,80$ + 0,45$ for Edit (clean+typeset)
0,60$ + 0,15$ for QC
0,60$ + 0,15$ Bonus for Group
= 11,25$ each Volume
I'm sorry, but this suggestion is out of question for MH.
If you have 11,25$ per Volume to spare for scanlations, you may as well buy 2-3 official releases from the same amount of money.
Scanlation is not about gaining profit but about promoting manga. If people want to support someone, they should support the original creator. That is where the money belongs and nowhere else.
This stays our final stand for all releases posted on MH. Thread closed.
