Page 4-5 - Schester is playing for Denmark now?
Interesting formation chosen by Denmark - an 8-0-2
As was expected, the focus shifted on Jito after his initial clash with Haas and Christiansen and he showed jumping power, toughness and a good reflex (when he mentioned fast players, Nitta was front row center ). However, it didn't last long as now the 3M will take the spotlight.
Next chapter: 1-0 for Japan and the scorer will begin with an M
He's got a similar haircut, but he's not as classy
The match is getting largely more interesting to me.
I feared that Jito would be useless from the start, but even though he's obviously suffering (because of the sfx when he lands) he quite owned the danish duo. I liked how he power-defended against Haas instead of just jumping higher.
It's also good to see the 3M attacking. I was fearing not to see Matsuyama at all since he already got spotlight with the whole captain thing. I liked how Matsuyama's play wasn't really impressive, but still efficient, it fits his playstyle. I guess Misugi is going to show a more genius kind of play, but as I though, Misaki will most likely be at the conclusion.
Futsal combi next?

I quite enjoy every time Shinji posts, considering he already knows perfectly well what will happen in the chapter, as well as in all the ones that follow
I'm just saying what I was saying in some french boards when the chapters were released back then It was the only CT series I followed chapter by chapter every week.
Besides, the discussion would be boring if you were by yourself wouldn't it?
Seems that way doesn't it? And ... err ... I actually know how both this and the Nigerian matches will end, I just don't know (all) the scorers and everything other than the goals around them
Quite enjoying Haas and Christiansen, so the result is far from the only thing that matters in the manga
8 defending and 2 attacking? That would surely fail in real life =.=. Those two must be quite skilled if theyre doing all the attacking. But if the two ace are stopped, Denmark are sure to lose right? Maybe thats the reason they didnt qualify for the world youth or they didnt play.

Or they were in one qualifying group with Germany or Holland or France or Italy or who knows who else who can own them
I don't think they meant 9 *defenders*. It just means that the goal-scoring is left to the forwards.
The others must still bring the ball to the forwards. So they aren't just waiting in front of the goal. Since the commentator depicted Denmark as using long passes and Japan having the upper hand in terms of possession, Denmark must be the usual defending team using counters.
Pretty much like Italy for example, but the difference is that Denmark has their key players on offense while most counter-teams has their key players on defense.
I shoulda said 8 defending, not 9 (not counting keeper)
That just means Denmark isnt that strong, theyre only using two forwards because thats their strength, they don't have a playmaker or anything, they rely only on their defense and physique, and scoring on counters (I dislike that kind of football, but thats me and my attacking philosphy :P). Mind you, Japan normally struggle against new European teams they never played (2-1 V italy, 4-4 V France, 3-2 V Germany, 1-0 V Sweden, 1-0 V Holland )...if you dont count Holland youth.
And I dno if Italy are better, but they have two defensive pillars + an upcoming rising star named Bianchi for Juvenus or something. So on paper, they're probably slightly better. But not too sure after what happened in WY ><
Well, Italy was mostly defending and used counters without game makers in the Jr. Youth tounament, it doesn't mean that they weren't that strong.
We're going to have a new copycat after Tsubasa it seems Misaki will try to imitate him no doubt and he'll get into a shooting position. The question is, what will he do then? Try to score to be as close as possible to what Tsubasa did or aim for a pass proving he's a different type of player? An assist for Nitta perhaps
An assist for Nitta?
When they say Nitta is offside, that Misaki never considered passing, that he's dribbling forward, with a flashback of Tsubasa's dribbling 11 opponents?
Don't ruin your chance for an easy and obvious prediction.
Anyway, I was more interested in Misugi's play. As expected from him, a beautiful and genius kind of play... Although he only lured 1 opponent, while Matsuyama, with a much sober kind of play, lured 2 of them Well, I guess Matsuyama was kinda helped by Misugi's overlap, so let's say that the two of them lured 3 opponents.
Daydreaming always beats an 'easy and obvious prediction'
Still, Misaki scoring just like Tsubasa did would be a let down for me. It's like saying 'look, I can do what Tsubasa already did, even though he got past 11 players, while I only dodged 3-4'. That again, it's the most obvious thing that could happen, knowing CT isn't exactly an unpredictable manga.
Nice speech of Misaki regarding his relationship to Tsubasa.
The fans (feminine) are still cheering loudly for Misugi, eh? :P
