Please don't end, Shinji. You've come so far and we've been following you almost all this time.
Even when I'm not posting on the forums, I'm still really excited and happy when new releases come out. I don't care if we catch up with the manga as it is released. As long as we have some new CT stuff to talk about from time to time, it's all good.
When I first saw Shinji's releases, I was already too old to get jumpy over a manga series again, especially one I've already read quite a bit of. But my interests and connections with CT were reborn here with you guys. And you guys have been sustaining these interests and connections ever since. On my own, I did start playing some old CT games again and downloaded some anime, but if Shinji stops and this forum dies, there goes my adventure with Tsubasa, too.
Maybe you can reach out to translators from other projects. It may not be easy as the most enthusiastic translators out there are working on manga series that are popular among younger demographics. CT is a bit old school.
I recommend trying this guy named Raiha that used to work on the Dragon Quest: Dai's Adventure series. They released frequently and they actually finished the project. As far as I can tell, all translations were from Japanese into English. In his parting words, Raiha expressed his wish to translate for more projects. Here is the contact info for Square Ocean (the scanlating group of DQ that Raiha worked for):
p.s. I thought Shinji knew Japanese, English and French?

You got me too on that!Quote:
Shinji knows Japanese, but he explained how hard it is, specially that it is written in "Kanjis" now (if I get it right) which is much harder than the other type that CT and WY were written in.

I'll try to contact the one you're talking about, though.
I wish you the best luck for finding a appropriate translator, Shinji.
Take your time in it, so you don't get a let down there.
Then the good thing will be, when you've found a translator, that a bunch of chapters after that will be mass released, right? Those, which you scanlated in the mean time.
The forum activity might drop, but I'll still look up this forum every day, when I find the time. When there's a discussion going I likely take part and sure there more and will be more.
If I knew Japanese well, I'd gladly help, especially for CT and yoz, but it isn't the case, obviously. :/
Anyway, I'll be waiting any time long.
it is the same for me ,i check the forum about twic a day
to see if there is somthing new.
SHINJI: i am sure that the forum won't end like a drive shot ,the forum still alive and will end like the mircale drive shot and will score here and u will finish ur project.
i realy tried to learn Japanese to help u SHINJI ,and i got CDs for that but it wasn't that good after all.
thanx again SHINJI 4 all ur great effort.
yep, a bunch of us just go here to download things =P But don't join in on the discussion, sometimes because someone already said what we wanted and sometimes we just don't have enough time, or forget about it... but it's a natural thing for me to go onto the download page like... once every 3 days (which is a lot compared to my allotted time now)..
I don't really post, but I've been lurking in these forums and following the scanlation forever. Just wanted to let you know that you probably have more silent followers than you think and that we appreciate your job.
I don't think you should be discouraged from forum activity dropping either, since the translation is on hold atm, people probably don't know what to post or talk about.
the forum is going slowly maybe because there are many students in here
who are busy with exams or starting up of a new year at school
i hope it's not only because without scanlations there's less to talk about,
Captain Tsubasa world is huge and can give us a lot of hints for discussions
and if Takahashi went on hiatus, i do think Shinji too can hold for a while
just with the same Golden23 and this without causing catastrophes around
he needs a good japanese translator, and in my opinion it's totally useless to say
"hay, i'm sorry but i'm not" and keep asking when the next release will come up
instead we all can give him a real, consistent hand, as i already tried to suggest
for example there's still a bunch of previous chapters which need to be corrected,
so when his hard work will come to an end, this easy but annoying little job will be done too
and WE ALL will have our ultimate, one and only Captain Tsubasa scanlation complete
and instead of talking only into the Weekly Release Thread,
the main activity will be taken into the Corrections Thread
maybe re-reading old chapters may lead to new interesting discussions, who knows
please don't misunderstand me, i'm not blaming on anyone of you,
but i still think that anyone of us can contribute a bit in this release
at least keeping this nice forum alive for first
ASk me here am having 4 exams next week, not to mention i have NETWORKING and CALCULUS2 on the same day
Keep it up Shinji. I know somewhere, you're working hard for all us. We'll wait as long as it takes.
Came back from vacation this week and going through a rough patch at work these days. Nevertheless, I try and log in here when I can and Shinji, don't let anyone put you down, you've done awesome work that no other man has even tried and for that you have my deepest thanks and admiration. Keep it up, once the chapters start coming out, I'm sure this place will be as lively as it used to be, if not more considering the build up of anticipation
plz check ur inbox
Just to let you know that I'm not slacking off, Goal 35 to 44 are ready and waiting...
