You probably should read the new mangas before deciding if they'll fail or not. A lot of manga don't seem to interesting in premise, but the way they're handled can be good. It depends on the author.
They might be okay. Enigma looked sort of interesting. I'll at least read the first couple chapters of these.
The only way anything new can survive is at the cost of something older. It's unfortunate but true: there's just too many strong series for the moment and nothing really wants to move an inch or shows any indication of ending any time soon. (well Bakuman is a maybe...but even then...) Unfortunately it's just one of those years...
I won't read any of the new manga until there's at least 3 volumes every new wsj manga that I picked to read since Akaboshi has been axed. The only exeption is Medaka. I also picked Shinigami and drooped it at the time cause I tought it was gonna be axed and then its ranking started rising.
I think I have some curse.
I have to agree with StrangerAtaru. Although, if a series is meant for greatness, it'll climb to the top no matter what the costs are.
I hope I see a translation of Enigma at some point, I kinda wanna see what it's about.
I'm gonna read both new series And I don't think its fair to count Light Wing out simply because its a sports series. The other ones recently just haven't been popular; that say nothing as to how well future sports series will fair.
Jump #41 Cover, Thanks Heiji

Enigma looks interesting, I'll definitely check it out.
Anyone comment or notice how this is the second Meruhen Ouji Grimm oneshot this year? There was one back in issue 19
Can someone tell me once and for all what's the issue OP returns in?
Is it issue 43# that comes out on the 27th, or is it issue 44# that comes out on the 4th of October?
Because I'm pretty sure I remember it was said that OP returns in issue 43#, however Aohige from Arlong Park said that issues 39-43 won't have OP.
Looking back at the sports manga discussion at the end of the last thread... I'm definitely going to get those Shonen Shikku translations done. The series wasn't great, but it was pretty durn decent, far better than trash like Swot and Metalika, and it certainly doesn't deserve the complete ignorance it got more or less everywhere during its run.
Enigma looks really promising. I hope the story isn't consumed by battles in the future, however.
