What is this thread about?
This thread started in 2006 as a scan archive for Weekly Shounen Jump (WSJ) manga. It was essentially a place for all raws from WSJ that didn't have their own R/T/S threads here at MangaHelpers. Over the years, many members (including The Touch, xi0, Kylara, Asakura, Sai_the_Shaman, Waeyen, and Heiji, to name a few) have been helping out in this thread by scanning covers, ToC pages, previews, and sharing the raws they found or scanned.
With MH's upgrade to v2.3, there's no longer a need for a separate scan archive. This all new 2009-10 thread will be for you, the fans, to discuss whatever you like about WSJ! Predominantly, discussions will be centered around the ToC ranking that's posted weekly. You can also post the magazine covers and preview pages in this thread.
What is the ToC ranking?
ToC stands for Table of Contents. It's found on the last page of every issue of WSJ, but more importantly, the order the series appear in on the ToC is closely related to the popularity of the series. This is determined by polling the readers; there is a polling postcard in every issue of WSJ.
Click HERE for a list of all the current series running in WSJ. Each link will lead you to more details about the manga, and where you can find raws, translations and scanlations for all your favourite series! You can also find past series in WSJ by changing the Status filters on that page.

Not sure if I can do this but just in case some of you didn't see it earlier;
As I got my copy and looked through Jump today, there was an announcement that Bleach will be taking over the spine in 2010 (this year, however you want to take it) and the Naruto 10th anniversary book was somewhat announced but meh, I'll say it again. It looks like it will be in volume form- WITH the mangaka's drawings of the blond hero. Out 12/4.
I think we really need to update that opening Kaiten: KochiKame isn't really last. Sure it really has no bearing on any rankings but it still floats regardless.
does someone have all the Naruto spines in a row?
With spines there was One Piece in 2008 Naruto in 2009 and now Bleach in 2010. Oda did a great job mixing in the different seasons onto the spines. Kishi did a baton passing with all the characters. I look forward to Bleach since it also has a huge cast of characters, let's hope Kubo comes up with something unique.
which is why the spine should be Jaguar this year but nooooooo let's go with Bleach! BAH!
Yeah, Bleach started at '01 and it's anniversary is supposed to start in '11 but I guess it's just about what's more popular and what isn't. :/
If Bleach year does start at 2010, it going to be weird. Bleach did had a colour for 8th year anniversay at chapter 375 (even it was mentioned as 8th anniversary), then all of sudden make 2010 as Bleach's year, like celebrating as its 10th anniversary.
Makes me wonder what's going to happen during Bleach's ACTUAL anniversary.
Jaguar will get the spine when there's no other manga left in the magazine.
Really, Bleach is the next most popular manga and gets the next most amount of sales, since it has an anime and all.
Bakuman isn't gonna last long enough to get a spine or anything, but maybe Mago or Toriko or Gintama or Reborn will get it next year.
I know it is too early, but I found a koneta, and uploader is same as usual, so I'll upload it.
Issue 1 Bottom 5:Quote:
CP: One Piece, Sket Dance, Beelzebub (we already know)
Issue 2 CP: One Piece, Nurarihyon, Biyori(? I'm not really sure what is this one is), one shot by Horikoshi Kouhei
Issue 3/4: one shot by Takahashi Ichirou (author of Volleyball-Tsukai Goudagou)
Issue 5/6: one shot by Yabuki Kentarou
Plus, Yabuki's Sqare work going to be about cat.

Aww~ EizHb38XPU is so amiable and polite :') Love how he's apologizing for his mistake last week...
As for the bottom dwellers:
Now that's a crappy way to celebrate your second year of serialization for Psyren. Ane-doki hits rock bottom once again, meh.
Happy for Rilienthal though...
Biyori is "Gag Manga Biyori" from JUMP SQ, I guess. I think it had some chapters in JUMP every now and then...not too sure though.
That Horikoshi fellow seems to have participated in 2006's second Tezuka award.
Yabuki doing some stray cat(or is it really literally a doubting cat?) sounds kinda weird but ah well...
