So yeah, I'm currently starting Zero no Tsukaima, it's a good series, surprisingly. The author just passed away couple days ago coincidentally.
I finished rewatching Bakemonogatari yesterday. Maybe even better the second time. Now that I know what to expect, it's easier focusing on the characters and plot. This also is my first time seeing Tsubasa Cat in true HD. I originally watched it as the ONA's (gradually) aired. Watching again, Tsubasa Cat is my favorite arc. Now that I'm in the mood, I think I will rewatch the rest of the Monogatari Series too. Nisemonogatari is my favorite part. I'm already fanboying over season two, and Kizumonogatari (whenever it actually does come out).
Just watched the first episode of Gargantia. Pretty generic set-up, the indifferent and apathetic soldier being thrown into a world he does not know and does change him, give him his humanity back and so forth, has been done before, so it will all come down to execution. The animation was beautiful, especially in HD, though most of the newer animes excel in that department anyway.
All in all, it was a good start, so i am gonna keep watching to see how it will develop.
My spring list is complete. This season, I am watching:
No real judgments to draw after only one or two episodes. All are at least entertaining, seemingly worth watching in their entirety. Hataraku Maou-sama! is off to a particularly good start, a very funny show. I also tried Crime Edge and Photokano, neither were particularly interesting.
- Hataraku Maou-sama!
- RDG: Red Data Girl
- Devil Survivor 2
- Oreimo season 2
- Susei no Gargantia
- Shingeki no Kyojin
- Valvrave the Liberator
My spring list is more or less like some others here: Shingeki no Kyojin, Suisei no Gargantia, Aku no Hana, Devil Survivor 2, RDG, and Karneval. Also continuing last season's Chihayafuru 2 and trying to move forward with the first season of Shakugan no Shana. Other than that I'm checking Ghibli titles lately. Very late of me, yes, but I've just finished Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Howl's plot is promising at the beginning but throughout the hours till the end I'm not sure anymore what's happening. Spirited Away is better, although I don't really feel the climax of the series (I guess it's about going to the twin's place but then we see how the twin actually is) but otherwise is a little bit scary (yes, lol) but still entertaining.
I'm in mood of anime movies after watching Hoshi wo Ou Kodomu in theater last time. Planning to check more movies like Princess Mononoke, Cello Hiki no Gauche, Hotaru no Haka, and Momo e no Tegami.
Finally got to see the conclusion of the Blood C series, Blood-C: The Last Dark. At first I've only seen it up to chapter 6, which is around the half-mark, everything was pretty much okay, definitely better than the series execution. Than I took it upon me to see the second half and what did I get, a piece of shit or as some call it, a turd. WTF did I just watch, to repeat the comment some posts above.
Take away it being a clamp product, take away some good looking panels, it's the worst anime movie I've seen in the past 2 years.
edit: forgot this little jewel:
Spring series are: Oreimo 2, Suisei no Gargantia, probably Shingeki no Kyojin,... damn just look at Kaiten's list minus Oregairu.

Nobody seems to be posting Yamato raws so I am going to resume watching the OVA's. The next set comes out in May, if I am not mistaken.

I started the Gundam Unicorn OVA series. Episode one was very good, I'll catch up over the week. There are six, hour long episodes, with the seventh (and final) episode scheduled for next spring.
