the art never ceases to amaze me...though not much happens this chapter. Next one is February 12
As expected, a chapter full of fight, easy fight of course. Nice art, I hope we'll see some plot development during the next chapter (the island...finally ?).
Translations would be awesome
I am actually amazed, anything under a month long wait at this point just baffles me.
Next chapter is February 12th. This chapter just reminded us of how bad ass Guts is, nothing much beyond that.
Why do these manga's like Berserk and Claymore publish once a month?
Berserk is going on around from 1990's thats 20 years nearly. How long do they plan to keep it going? Is the original crowd which started to read it in 1990 is still reading it? will the writer live till he manages the end?
As of claymore it is very far from an end. perhaps more 10 years. I dont see myself reading it still then.
It is very different from the american comics. which have short stories and does not go on. Unlike Manga's who generally have a very linear and continuous story.
Sadly Berserk isn't even once a month. There might be 8 chapters a year if we are lucky.
Berserk is on a whole other level from Claymore though. The epicness is amazing. The detail is incredible as well. I've been keeping with berserk since around volume 3 or so. @_@ Ya its been quite the ride. I will see it to the end.
Claymore can still go on a long way if the author wants it to, but this thread isn't to discuss Claymore, is it?
Haven't seen the episode yet, I'll wait until the guys from EG scanlate it. If there's something a Berserk fan should have it's patience.
i dont think this is just a random fight cause i dont remember berserk having any previous. IMO this fight is a nice way for miura to involve the elfs and wizards of elfhelm island. i would like them to come and assist guts and company in defeating these creatures. it would be a nice way to not only introduce them but also show how powerful they are.
Evil_Genius' scans are up: [CLICK].
i have been with beserk since vol 12ish. We were in flushing and i was at a comics store and this clerk recommended me Berserk (and love hina..). I have all the volumes except last 2 and when i am bored i still go back and read specific arcs for epic fight scenes. It is frustrating that the mangaka sometimes doesnt have enough "meat" in his chapters - like those chapters where we just see some scenery and that's it. Claymore is better in that the mangaka wastes no time on scenic stuff but gets straight to the fight/story so i am never dissapointed - plus the length of the chapter in claymore is like double berserk...
