I'm a Japanese translator for a Spanish group, most of the times I do fine with the help of dictionaries and Google... But with this I'm completely lost:
After a guy dresses as a gorgeous woman another character says:
I don't really get the meaning of the hole sentence. I know the words, the grammar... but still can't make sense of it.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here
Thanks in advance for your time and patience.
こうなると = "At this point" , "At this rate"
もう = "already"
特殊メイク = literally "special make-up", which is professional make-up that is used in films to drastically change the character's look
域 = "realm"
So I'd translate this sentence as "This is in the realm of special make-up at this point." unless you can think of a better term then "special make-up". I can't think of a specific word for that atm.
I'm guessing the person's impressed with his transformation? Sounds like it.
I agree with Dr. DrCoke. If you add anything to his translation, a word "effects" can be tossed in. I am not sure which is better (a) special effects make-up*, or (b) special make-up* effects. make-up* = makeup
