Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan
By: FURUDATE Haruichi
Genre: Mystery, Horror
Serialized In: Weekly Shonen Jump
One shot available now. Serialization begins next week!
Yotsuya-Sensi likes to tell stories, and his most recent one stems from the mysterious death near the school. Now the question is... was it a suicide or was it something more sinister?

The title has been changed slighlty from one shot. The title is changed to "Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya Senpai no Kaidan."
Fixed, thanks! /Kaiten

It sounds really interesting and it also seems unique to me,let's see how it translates into a series.
This, unlike LOCK-ON!, shows a lot of promise. Mystery/Horror is an underappreciated genre, so I'll be rooting for this!
I just read chapter 1. The art style looks very similar to Muhyo, but I think Yotsuya-senpai has better horror atmosphere than Muhyo.

Name is similar.

Yeah this reminded me of both Muhyo and Neuro, kinda like a mix between the two.
Really liked what I saw from the first chapter, definitely keeping an eye on it.

I'm not sure what the confusion about the title was, but it's even spelled out in hiragana on the color page. The only difference in title between this and the oneshot is it's Senpai now instead of Sensei. I'm not sure where Saben Gakuha came from. Maybe someone could enlighten me?

When I saw this manga, I saw the name as Sabengakuha Yotsuya Sempai no Kaidan.
But from what I saw, we need a translator now most urgent. xD
When posting in a thread, we'd like to ask if you could refrain yourselves from very short, one lined posts in which you request a translation, in which you give a (meaningless) appreciation, etc... These are considered as spam since they don't contribute anything to the manga's discussion and thus they will be deleted ^^
I hope for your understanding ~ Koen
Assuming no fan scanlations of the first chapter surface http://www.shonenjump.com/e/mangaonline/index.html will have the first chapter up in English. Whenever.
Evey new WSJ series of 2009/2010 has gotten its first chapter preview in English there so far.
The official summary?

I just read chapter 2, and I'll also liked it as chapter 1. I'm started to like this series.
It doesn't attract me. I prefer Lock-On, but no one of two is so innovative.
The history could has a good proceedings, but the drawings...gah...the drawings are bad. Well, then, everyone may think what he wants, but, for me, the drawings aren't fitting for a magazine like Jump.
I actually love Yotsuya's art style. That color page from the first chapter was great IMO, and I love some of the odd perspectives Furudate uses in the manga.
