Last chapter is out!
I feel a bit sad about Kyubei, she seems really in love with Tae.
And it seems that Tae is clearly not indifferent to her either.
She would definitely be happier as a man (but I wouldn't be happier, I like her as a female! )
I wonder if there will be a moral at the end, where Kyubei accepts her sex and is happy as a woman...
Gintama makes awesome stuff out of the craziest of ideas.
Another arc just finished, about Idols from space.
Yeah, and it always tries to convey a fake morale which makes it even funnier.
The new arc that just started with the lottery ticket is pretty funny so far, as well!
Although, I suspect it's going to be a very small arc.
Gintama will forever be one of my favorites.

So, what's everyone think about the upcoming movie? Is it gonna suck? Is it gonna be fucking amazing? Thoughts?
How can it be anything else but amazing!?
It's Gintama, it will be amazing!
I think it will be absolutely great. Gintama has two big advantages over other series who tend to have a more troubled history of with movies (DBZ, One Peice, Naruto, and Bleach).
One is how Gintama's random nature prevents any problems related to timing it in a way that allows it to seem "canon". Fitting the stuff that happened in the Naruto movies in Naruto's "canon" life would be pretty hard, for example, so the whole thing rings a little fillerish. For Gintama that doesn't matter, at all. One moment Gintoki is fighting heroically with his life on the line, the next he's cross dressing as Club Hostess, the next he's in prison. That's perfectly normal for him. So it doesn't matter what the story it is, it should fit in just fine.
The other is that Sorachi always wrote Gintama into movie sized arcs anyway (as opposed to other series where the arcs are much much longer). So he's just better suited as an author to tell a complete story in that amount of time.
So I'm expecting it to be the best anime movie of the year.

To read Gintama or watch the Anime, only have time for one?
I've heard that the anime follows the story quite well, and actually does well in conveying the humor of the story. I've seen the first 3 episodes, and read the first 5 or so chapters, over the course of a year, so either way reading the anime or watching the anime will be like starting from scratch.

The new arc about Kagura faking a heatstroke is just brilliant; I knew it's a prank on her part, but even if I did expect it, it doesn't make it less hilarious. Hopefully she'll be okay by the next chapter, poor Gintoki and Kagura.
But that story does pose a few points about "chararacter types" and how sometimes they get forgotten!
Is the "final arc" thing just a reference to the movie or is this going to be the final arc?
