well, that was unexpected^^
but i liked it
i know this ot but what does this page say about soul eater?
The chapter was nice but it just made me want more xD
I will miss FMA T-T
I guess, Ed's more taller than Al now when Alphonse mentioned, "It's definitely a bruise to my ego now that brother's field of vision is above mine"
Nice, I didn't expect more FMA so soon.
Is there any news on an anime adaption of this? I noticed this is Volume 26, so there should be a couple of chapters at least.
I think this Gaiden will have more chapters and icnlude people such as Roy, Selim, the people from Xing...but still, it was a bit short for a FMA chapter, I'm really interested in more actually
I wasn't expecting this so quickly either, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see this scanned. It felt too short, though, and I was hoping for a little shipper fanservice... but what we got was still nice. I think the fate of Al's armor was perfect. And I loved that the the helmet ended up housing baby birds. He always did have a soft spot for small animals, which he even kept inside of himself occasionally when he was that suit of armor. I thought that was a nice and very fitting touch. ^^
More FMA after this would definitely be welcomed by me, buuut I won't get my hopes up. I'd rather be surprised than let down.
lolwut a gaiden yet nothing about the side-characters. Arakawa is probably trolling us at this point >__<
but yeah it was a nice chapter, kinda sad that they melted the armor down. It looked so badass
I guess the chapter was cute but not particularly interesting in itself. Nothing was revealed, not exceptional surprises..... Anyways, seeing the FMA characters is always good, even if they are only living a normal life lol. Anyone knows if there will be more chapters like this though? Or would this be the last gaiden? Hopefully, if there is another gaiden chapter it will be a tad more revealing than this one, I am very curious to see what becomes of roy. I would very much like to see if he lost his alchemy (he probably used the stone to open the door but it is likely it would not be enough to get what he wanted right?)
What I saw in this chapter was a circle of life kind of thing, with the armor being symbolic of it. Al's armor allowed him to stay with his brother, and allowed him to have a life. Now it's being melted down into auto mail for other people to continue having a normal life. The helmet is being used to keep hatch-lings safe so they don't lose their lives.
As expected of Arakawa, to have deep meaning in a light story.
By any chance, has there been another gaiden or omake announced?
Unfortunately not, but perhaps there will be an extra omake in the last volume... After all it will only contain 2 chapters, so there's lots of space for omake or gaiden ^^ Especially since 1 omake is only about a third or fourth as long as a full chapter.
I doubt Square Enix would give up a chance to milk more money off Hagaren... XD
^I really hope so. It'd be sad if we're not going to see anymore Gaiden's though, because to be honest I really wanna see something with Mustang.
But anyway, as chapter 108 told me, I should look out for Arakawa's next work xD. I regret getting into FMA a mere 3 months before it ended, I'm not gonna let it happen twice.
I'm a Mustang fan too so yes, I want to see more Mustang (and Riza and the rest of his team for that matter) too! XD I wouldn't even mind some 4-koma showing Mustang as Fuhrer or something like that I'm expecting the 4-koma theater for the anime (comes with the DVDs, the last of which is coming some time in November or December iirc) to at least answer these pleas of mine XD And best thing is that they're more or less canon since Arakawa-sensei is the one who comes up with them :P
I'm looking forward to her next work too. She's awesome! ^^ But I do hope she takes a nice break (even while drawing her other series [unfortunately she only does the art so the story is nothing much afaik]) after 9 years of Hagaren!
