Today is the day when england will have to snap out of the last match, and just play what they are used to do in the Premier League
7 points for England at the end of the group stages if they win this match today
And finally some better matches...I mean so far tons of red cards, goals with help of the opponent...that's no football
Man, i thought Schweinsteiger is the main executor for penalty kicks (since Ballack's not around).
And why did Podolski used his right foot? isn't left is his main canon?
well this is a wake up call.... need to be more cool headed on the next match against Ghana (got yellow cards on Lahm and Schweinsteiger, and few else)
In France's defence: Same in Germany.
We learn the national anthem somewhen in elementary school (my kids currently annoy the heck out of me with it) and then most of us forget the text.
Many know the beginning, but I think very few Germans can sing it further than the first two lines. You can see that very nicely when it's played and the first two lines are sung loudly by the crowd, then with the beginning of the third line you hear suddenly a switch from singing to humming
Liked how France got a beating yesterday...too hyped these french, along with italians and germans(no offence meant)...I just can't stand those teams
In romania, and it can be best seen with football players...it's how they mix up lines from different verses...the thing is there is some sense either way, but it's hilarious

What a shame, the U.S. was really good and then Slovakia makes the second goal >_>
If things don't change drastically, Slovenia'll be the first team classified to the 8s O.O
That's....kinda weird .__.
And i just heard some kids shouting "i hate this podolski,he could not even make the penalty" "i hate this mofo"
I think this U.S. and the one which won the Confederation's Cup are like heaven and earth
Should've been US' victory there, or was it because of the wrestling inside the box???
but it was the Slovenians who bear-hugged the US

I dont know what you guys think, but the European Teams are going from Bad to Worst...
Spain, Portugal, Italy, England, France, and Germany that had an amazing game against Australia and now lost.
On the other hand, the Latin American teams are doing very well.. Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina!!
IMO, the cup will stay on this side of the continent
I am still fuming about the horrible call on the disallowed 3rd goal by Edu. The U.S. still has no idea why it was disallowed, as stated by Bradley and Donovan.
welcome to football... game of us, mortals (including ref) with our shortcomings included... it wasn't the first time this happened, won't be the last... that's why we have riots during/after the game...
imagine how the English felt over the Hand of God incident.

Pity for the USA. This was probably too much of a chaos to clearly see for the ref. But that's football for ya ;/
That is some of the worst officiating I've seen in a long time. The yellow card on Findley for a handball in the box...when it clearly went off his face. The disallowed goal was absolutely reprehensible, wasn't even close to being offside, nor was their any foul on the American's part. It was the complete opposite in fact, just look at One Eyed Sharingan's screencap! Koman Coulibaly wouldn't even explain himself afterwords...no one on the US side was given any explanation as to how that play resulted in a free kick for Slovenia...freaking ridiculous. Apparently it was the his first World Cup. Let's hope it's his last, so he doesn't screw over your country in the future.
Maybe I'm being overly critical, I will acknowledge that we played like crap in the first half, but we were at least able to come out aggressively in the second half and had a lot of nice chances...but to take away such a nice goal with no explanation given, leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth.
Oh, and cheers to Altidore for FINALLY doing something. The guy is young and inexperienced, but he's too talented to disappear in matches like he did in the first match against England and in the first half of this match
