I didnt heart anything... i just look on animenewsnetwork too...
i dont think there is gonna be a next season but i rly wish if there a season 3 T____T.
I'm pretty hopeful that D.Gray-man will get another 52-episode stage. We just need to be a little more patient. I'd give it another three years - the five-year anniversary of the end of the second stage. That will give them enough chapters to animate without resorting to fillers.
That's too much. 3 years! Imposible. If there'll be another anime, and i think there'll another, it will be sooner than that!
Still 2011 is my bet!
there is no way d.gray-man would animated in 2011! Manga still needs more time.
i agree with jaymie, we have to wait 2-3 more years.
I guess that would depend on how long they intend to run the next season for. The first one ran for 103 episodes but that doesn't mean the studio can't do a season that lasts only 26 episodes... In which case we wouldn't have to wait as long for another season
3Year is rly too much i guess maybe in 2011 or 2012 there will be 3season if not then the anime ended at 103
Looks like anime to me. >< Can anyone explain this please?
Aww, thanks anyway. Got my hopes up there for a moment.
Gintama's coming back after "ending". Inuyasha came back. Nura, Bakuman, and Tegami Bachi all have second seasons that air(ed) after their first seasons end(ed).
The first Anime began shortly after DGM Reverse started, and we just received the first Reverse volume in four years, this month.
There are just enough chapters for them to do a 26-episode series (ie. Inuyasha The Final Act, but obviously not a finale to DGM) if they adapt the two Reverse stories and add some padding to the Third Exorcist arc. Of course, they could always do 52 episodes if they make an entire filler season (*cough*Season 2*cough*).
^ I agree.
D.Gray-Man is flexible, which is a good thing. They can always add innocence hunting episodes, since the # of innocence in possession of the Order doesn't matter.
I think that if they do (re)start the anime, i think it would be from the very beginning, without too many fillers... However, if you think about, they would obvioulsy have to have a lulubell filler that (re)reveals her abilities, since she is only officially introduced at lvl4 arc and was introduced much, much earlier in the anime...
Given that, i predict end of 2011/2012. 2013 would be much too late in my opinion, that would be .... ~about 5 difference between animes? That's a pretty big gap in my opinion. Now, we also have 3 Reverse novels, each having 2/3 stories that could equal a couple episodes each which are canon!!
Obviously, D.Gray-Man has enough fans for another anime round, so sales shouldn't be a problem, but being monthly is. Current page amount is betwen 20-30, which is still a bit slow. Even with potential spoilers, we'd probably need another 2 volumes so that we don't have another break in the anime (or months of fillers that potentially ruin the series)...
Some mentioned getting a series after/near manga's end, but with current events, that seems a very, very long time off. Currently, there are many, many unanswered questions, undeveloped characters that would take years to finish before the end (just look at kanda/Alma ark: 1.5 years to finish! now do the math for every other character in the series (mainly Noah and Order/Central) to get my drift). I don't see the series end in the next 5 years if it remains a monthly...
Hence, if producers want to milk DGM, they need to start relatively soon - anime often attracts new watchers/readers., if they do it by DGM's end, they skip a ~generation of potential viewers!
OPTIMISM FOR THE WIN!
