LOST REASON is really good, so is DESIRE, Desert Rose, and DOWN TO YOU. Ellegarden are pretty good, especially if you're looking for a punk rock band who have a very American sound to them. Their English songs are quite good as well. T.M. Revolution is okay, very poppish just like Blasphemy said in the post before. Ignited is a good song, so is vestige-VESUTIIJI-.Originally Posted by bunshindattebayo
BTW, have you heard the new L'Arc album, KISS?? Is it good?? Wanted someone else's opinion on it before I go and download it.
As Blasphemy said "MAXIMUM THE HORMONE" and the ones who were singing Naruto:Shippuudens "Heroes comeback",thats all i can remeber.
i`m actually surprised that no one said Susumu Hirasawa so far... o_O i think he`s got some of the greatest live music ever and even his work with P-Model was great, even if it was actually electro music...
P-Model?? What's that??Originally Posted by crazy_horse1989
I'm still trying to 'discover' what I really like for japanese music, lately I've been listening to Polysics, Soul'd out and some m-flo. Yeah, my taste is kinda weird. >_>
What genre do you prefer?? Pop, Rock, Visual Kei or mixtures of them and other genres??Originally Posted by Emily00

J-Trance is good is not like american trance the makes sound like gay or something.
J-rock I like but mostly just songs
The brilliant green
Sambomaster - Love they're music
Snorkel - the naruto theme on was only song I have heard an its nice
Stephanie - some songs like Friends, Love it
Jinn - what a dialect
Monoral - only heard 2 songs from them, kiri the theme for Ergo Proxy is one of my top fav.
Abingdon Boys School - they sing bad in english, good music love the darker than black single
Asian Kung-Fu Generation
The Back Horn -some what good
High and Mighty Color - some songs, members style dont coordinate, some look punk
/\ most are just some song (exept sambomaster)
Girugamesh - nice vocal power music
D'espairsRay - they got that trance metal static sound going on, nice bass riffs and so on
and most that I have forgotten their names
umm gangt or something had a good song
I actually found most of their English songs better than their Japanese songs, like LOST REASON, which is one of my favourite songs right now.Originally Posted by locomotion
Do you mostly listen to music that are openings and endings to animes???
I would probably recommend.... BACK-ON then, their style is of rap-rock, which is a pretty hard genre to find, but they have some really good songs. NEW WORLD, CHAIN, hikarisasuhou to name a few. I'd recommend more, but I don't have my iTunes on the computer I'm using right now.Originally Posted by Emily00
I listen to mostly J-pop. My favourite singers at the moment are YUI and Utada Hikaru. I discovered YUI long ago and immediately feel in love in her music. She has great voice, plays guitar, writes her own song and not to mention very kawaii!!!
Discovered Utada Hikaru also long time ago and also immediately became a fan of her music.
Anyway most of my J-music consist of anime OP and ED and also J-drama soundtracks
Awesome, loved Utada Hikaru's work for Kingdom Hearts, that's why I started listening to her music, and YUI has such good music. What's your favourite song from either of them??Originally Posted by Epul
xDDD Agree with you there. xDDDOriginally Posted by Epul
well, I have a lot of Utada hikaru song that I like..... but at the moment, my favourite is Flavor of life, Beautiful World and also songs from her new album, Heart Station and Stay Gold.
As for YUI, I like all of her songs but at the moment my favourite YUI song is LIFE, Goodbye Days, I remember You, Tokyo, CHERRY, Jam and Namidairo
Any recommendation of J-pop/ J- rock artist i should check out?
Hmm... Definately abingdon boys school, UVERworld, and SPITZ for J-Rock.Originally Posted by Epul
Abingdon have a very rock-ish sound to them, any lover of rock will love them. LOST REASON, INNOCENT SORROW, HOWLING, and BLADE CHORD are awesome songs, definately check them out.
UVERworld is a mixture of rap, rock, techno, and pop, their sounds are very wide. Their new album, PROGLUTION, is really good, blending techno, rock and some rap in it. Their older songs are pretty good as well, D-Technolife, which was a Bleach OP I think, CHANCE, and SHAMROCK.
Even though I've only got one of their albums, from what I've heard, SPITZ is awesome. Classic rock style, with great guitar sounds, and the singer has a very unique sound as well. Grab their music, they are a band not to be missed.
For J-Pop, check out SNoW, she's got some good songs, and Ikimono Gakari, who mix up rock and pop together and also have an awesome ballad called SAKURA. Also, if you don't mind male groups, listen to KAT-TUN, their songs are awesome, mostly pop-ish but they have some rock-ier sounding songs. Beatbox and rap is also one of their more awesome points.
Well, I hope that helps you find more J-Music to listen to!!!
